Re: Spyderco Factory Outlet Seconds Sale 2017

Good deals, not as many knives as in past years. No Glessers. :(

Re: Spyderco Factory Outlet Seconds Sale 2017

The non-seconds are stealing the show again. Factory first Southard is 125, Firefly is 75, Friction Folder is 40, etc. etc.

Re: Spyderco Factory Outlet Seconds Sale 2017

I was going to go down tonight, but seeing as others are there, I'll stick with the usual. Noooooooooooo! You should come hang out! Nah, have fun though and I'll see you tomorrow. I just don't quite feel like spending an extra night to be a little closer...I remember that #1 got something last year...

Re: Sebenza v. Sage 2 (Fit and Finish)

I know it's going to sound a bit like heresy here, but I'd have to go with the Sebenza. Why? Because...it's the classic titanium framelock. The Sage 2 is nice, but the titanium framelock is where the comparison ends (IMHO). The opening style is very different, the Sebenza is a a lot thinner in the p...

Re: To Those of You That Just Got a Positron ...

I got mine, and first impressions are mixed. It will need some mods. At $90 it's a good deal, but I wouldn't pay much more.

New Warranty Covers (Some) Disassembly

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but today's email had a link to the new warranty. It now covers knives that have been disassembled and properly reassembled. Spyderco’s knives are assembled to exacting tolerances by trained technicians, so we discourage end users from disassembling or adjus...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

I offer a suggestion for the continuation of this thread: Instead of making it a weekly photo contest, the previous winner could judge the new batch of photos when there have been 10 submitted. We might also consider allowing up to 2 submissions from any user per round. Anyway, here's a photo of the...

Re: Spyderco Tenacious Carbon Fiber/G-10 C122CFP

Carbon fiber and 8Cr13MoV? Seems like the first time I've seen Spyderco put form over function. :( What's not functional about either of these materials being used in a folding knife? In the past, limited editions usually featured a significantly upgraded steel in addition to a prettier handle. Thi...

IIRC I paid ~$150 for an almost identical example. As Lance said, no semi-veiled attempts at Buy-Sell-Trade allowed here.

Re: Corporate shills makes any serious discussion impossible

This Andersson guy is awesome. Very funny actually. We need to all bet on how long (in months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds) until his next post. Maybe Spyderco could sponsor the betting, and reward a knife to the person who bets the closest amount of time? :D Edited to add: I'm putting my bet ...

Re: Need some feedback on the MANIX 2 CPM 154/S90V composite sprint

I got one to go with the composite PM2, but don't plan on using it much if at all. I can get some pictures later. F&f is superb, and overall it's a very nice knife.
