Re: Native 5 Lightweight - Lube pivot or not?

Surprisingly, I haven't had the need to. As mentioned, just on the lockbar interface, to make the opening smoother. I feel like I use my REX 45 Native 5 LW as salt series knife. Carried IWB during exercise, occasional dip in a river or lake, scrape mud off of bike tires when there are no sticks to b...

Re: What’s your favourite exclusive for future models?

K390, ranger green, G10, Golden models. Native, Shaman, Military, UKPK, Manix; I'm not picky.

Probably not going to happen, but that would do it for me.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Must say, these AWT scales have really been taking off around here lately and they all have looked pretty dang good! They feel extremely solid while not adding any weight. In most cases, they actually take away weight. Carrying my Shaman today. They have a Bone Yard section. I think these were arou...

Re: 2023 - Did your preferences change or stay the same?

Last 12 months, I'd say using more small knives (Native 5, Sage), and less of the big knives (Military, Chief). Medium usage remained the same, with PM2, GB2, and Shaman domininating pocket time.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

... I can’t believe this superb folder didn’t sell well enough to be kept in production. I would hope someone could still do an exclusive run? The G10 and liner lock work so well here. Although I geneally prefer the compression lock, I would honestly have a hard time deciding between this one and S...

Re: Define the different size categories FOR YOU

I see there is that 1/2 inch gap in between sizes for some here. I categorize by small, medium, and large. Just to have some reference. But there are modes which could be either-or. GB2 is, in a way, medium and large for me. Mantra is small that could be medium. While back, I lined up all my knives ...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2 Cru-Wear vs Gayle Bradley 2 M4

I did not see this coming, the GB2 in differnt steel. Based on what has been released out of Taichung lately, GB2 in Maxamet next? Maybe it depends on how well the CRUWEAR does. I wonder what else we may see from Taichung. REX 45? 15V? Wouldn't say no to something in K390. https://i.imgur.com/4kJCxC...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2 Cru-Wear vs Gayle Bradley 2 M4

Both steels are well represented in my collection and I like them both. And I do have the M4 GB2 with micarta scales. Great knife, frequently in my rotation. If I didn't have a GB2, and both came out at the same time, I'd go for the CRUWEAR. I really don't care for the scales of the M4 model. Both t...

Re: EXTREMELY disappointed with Spyderco. Update: Resolved!

All that said, the squeaky wheel may get a nicer premium box out of this interaction. Not saying this should be a way to do that, but it is possible that is the outcome.

Hope it works out OP.

On honeymoon right now with Native 5 CF.

Otherwise K390 and CRUWEAR PM2, equally.

Screw construction! I am correct in assuming the blade is compatible with G10/liner handle?

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?

As a big fan of the UKPK, and even bigger fan of the Native 5, I say yes. G10 with wire clip would be awesome. I prefer the wire clip in this small size category. Actually, of the small models I have, more have the wire clip already. I had the Caly 3 vs Native 5 debate a few times. Native and its ra...
