Re: REX 45 Military In Stock!

Man am I eager to finally finger a Military - and see if I can find love for a liner lock spydie.

Oh, and I own a HAP40 Meerkat. :) What a couple. :D Must take a picture. If only I had some talent for taking nice photographs...

Rex45 is a much cooler name than Hap40.
Nice!

The only way it could be cooler is if it was T-rex 45.
Even nicer!! :D

Re: REX 45 Military In Stock!

Dang, I snapped. Snagged one of the last two available on the bay (edit: they're gone now). Coming from Belgium, so no additional tax or customs. And hopefully in my hands by mid of next week already.

Still the most expensive :spyder: in my collection. **** whatever, YOLO. :)

Indeed, I must say there's not a one surprise. And no section on sprint runs!! How can this be? Will they not be announced with some time in advance anymore, like e.g. the Vtoku2 sprints this/last year? Read the message before the Table of Contents page Thank you, you opened my eyes. Re: Flicking Spydies with the index finger

I have rather short fingers, so the only finger that works for me is the thumb. But I like to use gravity with the PM2 and the Manix, pushing the locking mechanisms. Or the flipper on my Advocate or Southard. And a small number of :spyder: s even open holding the knife very tightly and catapulting t...

BTW, regarding the Bushcraft: nasty thick blade, while at the same time it's the sharpest out the box spydie I've ever received. Its sick sharp. Such a winner.

Re: Are you cheating on the bug?

Only one non-spydie was purchased by me in the last I think over 2 years, the CS drop forged Hunter. If Spyderco would produce a similar thing, the Hunter would have to go. This thing is pretty cool. And at the same time so affordable, given that it's made out of a real premium steel. Of all the kni...

The Spydiechef has the LC200N spot reserved, just need to find a good opportunity. Not in 2018 though.

Re: Which one should be next?

If you were asking for a steel performance review, I'm not the right person to ask. I'm a townie, mostly cut boxes or plastic packaging, or occasionally some fruit while we're on a family mission. I doubt any of the better steels would fail here. So far I only needed to resharpen 3 or 4 knives. Don'...

Did this yesterday, for a 2018 closure :spyder: family pic. :) It was a good feeling. Don't understand why you have bad feelings. You shouldn't. Appreciate the things that make you happy, there's too much sadness/madness out there.

Re: Which one should be next?

The Slysz Bowie XHP is in my pocket at home almost every day. It's pretty darn close to perfection. During office hours, I carry and enjoy the Urban. Light, legal, cuts well, inconspicuous - perfect for the occasion. When I'm outside (I live in the city) I rotate several bigger knives that I carry c...

Re: 2018 Discontinued List

Got my Bushcraft today, picked it up at Customs (together with my RWL34 Mule T22). What a beauty, exactly my thing, with the thick blade and all. Get one while you can!!

Got the Junction earlier this week, and the Stretch2 a couple days before.

Christmas is early again this year. :)
