After doing cut testing with my urban coyote I found that AEB-L out cut V-TOKU2. My V-TOKU2 Dragonfly at 13dps cut just over 100ft of cardboard before not being able to slice paper, where as my AEB-L Urban at 18dps was able to cut just under 150ft of cardboard before it would no longer slice paper

Wasnt refering to straight batoning. My method is batoning part of the way then I torque the blade to complete the split. I have no doubt that you can baton through a 2×4 with a Peasant :cool:

What type of jobs are you guys doing where the strength of a saber grinds vs FFG makes a big enough difference to sacrifice cutting performance? Think about this logically. I have no problem using different grinds, as my knife collection has different ground blades. Sometimes I want a more robust grind (Saber) and sometimes I want a smooth pass ( FFG) for tasks that require the good portion of the blade to go through the material.

That was a great article about a man who dared to show how powerful a blade can be with the right geometry and stock in a time where knives chopping steel would be considered strictly fiction

Maxamet is not fragile in any way.

Its more a matter of the fact that Maxamet is more vulnerable when it comes to latteral stress. Other than that, it can handle a few tough tasks

It's in-the-works. We're creating tooling. Once it's nailed down and ok, we'll consider steels. It's screw construction.
