A rare treat to see a dedicated Left Hand Spyderco. Still holding onto the hope that the Left Hand Military won't be the last.

The Civilian is a gem, for sure.

Unfortunate issues with Spyderco knives, rare as they may be, is also what this forum is for -- at least it should be. Truth here benefits all here.

"Sharp" is a subjective term, still it is not too much to ask for from a brand new $100+ knife.

Hang in there, Paddy B.

Alan Davis... It is a dedicated lefty titanium flipper with a 3.75" stone washed Elmax Tanto blade. Sounds awesome to me, a fellow Lefty. Best of luck with your PM2 search! And hopefully there will be a lefty dedicated Spyderco again....soon-ish? Perhaps even a PM2 with the first lefty compres...

Totally agree. Not a fan of basic black G-10 really. It's generic, IMHO. Love the idea of foliage green or a darker hue of green as a production color option. Realizing the now discontinued Delica in foliage green G-10 that I forfeited to Spyderco W&R was more my style than the black G-10 Caly 3...

TAMPA FISHING recommendations?

Headed to Tampa, FLA in two weeks. Fishing day trip is the priority for 4 male cousins -- one lives there but doesn't fish much/know much. Wondering if anyone from the Tampa area, or familiar with it, could recommend a quality fishing party boat in the area? Or maybe a reputable, good-value charter?...

I'd also be interested in Dragonfly Salt SE (non-hawkbill).
A non-hawkbill Dragonfly Salt SE is available now. That's option B in the comparison.

A Hawkbill Dragonfly Salt SE or Hawkbill Manbug Salt SE.....either works for me!

HAWKBILL FACTOR: Ladybug3 Hawkbill Salt SE vs. Dragon2 Salt SE

Does the "hawkbill factor" actually make these two the same in regard to cutting geometry/capability? Comparable? Not at all, cutting edge is cutting edge? Ladybug3 Hawkbill Salt SE cutting edge: 1.625"/41mm Dragonfly2 Salt SE cutting edge: 1.875"/48mm Choosing between the two to...

Love the idea of a USA, Earth LBK, or even a gentleman's folder-sized Spyderco. Perhaps a Ti Chaparral with Reclaimed American Chestnut inlays. Made in the USA, just this once.

I toss mine in the trash as soon as I open them and take the knife out for the first time, even sprints and exclusives. My only niggle with the superb Caly 3.5 is that the choil disappears when the blade is half closed. In consequence, it is blade, not choil (as with the Stretch), that greets fingers when pressing the mid-lock to flick the blade closed. That said, I'll soon have another... So true. Had to retr...

First thread (since the last apocalypse) without a single Super Blue steel reference. :) I'd go with whatever I wouldn't fumble out of my left hand...nearest back lock or BBL. Manix 2 XL, I guess. Somehow I see LC Kid surviving longer than anyone else...just a hunch.
