Re: Have you ever "grown into" a knife?
I started off with small to mid-size spydies primarily (most of my day to day needs are served by a Dfly) and didn't see the need for anything much bigger. Handling my first millie and endura was a bit of a shock. In general I don't even blink at those anymore. The millie feels right and carries sma...

Re: Stainless Delica
A SS Dfly is what got me started with Spyderco and I have always been a fan. I have a CE SS Delica that gets carried regularily and you are right, built like a tank, great fit and finish, drops closed, nice slim handle and ergo enough that the grip is sufficient. I also got a CE SS Delica that was s...

Re: Exotic Japanese steels
I am not very knowledgeable about Japanese steels but have been very impressed with HAP40. Maybe something stainless next? I trust that Spyderco will make the right decision to empty my wallet.
As for platforms the Delica would be my choice, a G10 Delica I would take in any flavour of steel.

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!
I tried to resist. The Jade Para going quick made it easy. this one was still available. Added the exclusive Millie to the order, in for a penny, in for a pound.
Was trying to be good.

This is a tough one. Delica in this configuration I might be in for. Endura less so but maybe.

Re: SE Native 5 or Delica?
This is the only knife forum I am on so here. It was mentioned briefly and the the thread was pulled if I remember correctly. There was to be a PE and SE run planned. I think a dealer had put it up on their site then pulled it off.
Or I have lost my mind waiting for serrations on a PM2.

Re: SE Native 5 or Delica?
I use an SE or CE Delica in this type of back up role usually but only because I haven't picked up the Native 5 SE yet. For other options I would say the SE or CE Endura, also the CE Manix 2 If you can find a discontinued Stretch SE or CE you won't be disapointed. Spyderco teeth are the best out the...

Re: Spyderco Paramilitary 52100 Carbon Fiber
Not so interested in the steel but will buy any Para2 in SE or CE (i expect it probably has 3/4 to 1 inch plain tip).
Out of the two, will probably only try for the SE. Very happy about this. Maybe the first step towards more SE.

Re: SE Recommendation
No sure of your uses but for SE the choices I would go with are: SE H1 DFly, H1 and serrations are a match made in heaven and this one is not too expensive for a trial run. I carry mine regularily and the ease of maintainence and above its size cutting power are appreciated. Any size of H1 SE is a w...

Re: Apologies to the community
I remember that recent thread and that it got a bit heated but in my opinion you didn't step out of line at all. Your opinion was just as valid as everyone else 's in that thread. Finding answers to issues is not easy but refusing to listen to other opinions is a sure way to never find solutions. It...

Re: Is there a term for?
"unprepared?" Just joking with you. I think most of us have fallen into that scenario at one point or another. The small tool kit I keep in the car keeps expanding. When I pare it back I inevitably don't have something I need.

Re: Endura4 question
If you are looking at PE then I would go for the FFG (in grey or blue). I have never been a fan of the Endura platform finding it odd for my hand but the Hap40 made me realize it was the blade heavy nature of the knife not really the handle. Since I like teeth my next Endura would probably be the CE...

Re: Help me pick a new yard knife.
I use a CE Millie and SE Tasman almost exclusively for yard work. The Tasman gets used for almost everything you mentioned and more, the beauty is i drop it in the shower and it is clean when I am done after a days work. Drop of mineral oil in the pivot and it is good to go. It is also a fantastic k...

Re: Blatent attempt to steal IP
Hey Zhyla, I can accept my use of the term IP may not be 100% accurate but its hard to comment on something that hasn't been made yet. I could imagine the Chinese manufacturer of coming up with something different but that wasn't the point of the thread that I posted. Also I doubt Spyderco is going ...

Blatent attempt to steal IP
http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1423601-Dominion-arms-tomahawk Just wanted to put this up for Spyderco, wouldn't appear to be something available but you can see the company post (#15) indicating a prelim price. Just surprised at how blatent this is. Looks like the have no proble...
