I recently found a NIB SE Millie (different markings which would indicate it was newer than this one) for 180 CDN. So that 150 US mark seems about right. The knife was priced significantly higher but my offer was taken up immediately.

Re: Do you actually EDC your favorite knife or...?
I would carry any of my knives. I also don't EDC any one knife but rotate through a bunch of users.
Two of my favourites the Elmax Para and a Hap40 Delica swapped into the blue lilmatriach handle get carried quite a bit.

So what do you all think, close enough or not close at all? You can guess my opinion.

I would buy a SE spyderhawk. What would really interest me was a higher end version of the G10 harpy.

Re: Which Millie to put to use
Toomzz - exactly what I am trying to do.get some of the knives out of storage and into the rotation. There isn't a single knife I own that I wouldn't use. I just don't go out of my way to find stuff to cut. If it doesn't occur naturally I don't force the issue. Office work limits the type of knife I...

Re: Which Millie to put to use
Boding - if that scenario plays out I will truly be fortunate. My daughter and nephew already get to see and hold my knives until they are old enough. They will each get to pick their own from my collection. WCC - it is a tank of a knife. The blade stock being thicker than my newer Millie's. I just ...

Gingerninja - Mine is sitting in customs which means a sure financial punishment. It will spend time out when it arrives by default. Not only a new steel but the CSI improvements which will be new to me as well. Not a fan of dark green. Wish it was foliage green.

Re: Which Millie to put to use
I don't hesitate to use my knives. I am fortunate to have more knives then I will ever need. The military model is a fantastic design and begs to be put to work. I unfortunately don't have extensive cutting needs on a regular basis and my Delica 4 Zdp that I swapped into a black handle meets or exce...

Re: Which Millie to put to use
Johniie1801 and DM11 - I thought the cruwear would be a popular choice Farnorthdan - I had the opportunity to grab a 52100 but in the end didn't think the lack of corrosion resistance was a good choice for me. also have the S90V with Carbon Fiber to satisfy that itch. I have actually been thinking a...

Re: Which Millie to put to use
VashHash - that was my initial preference as there are some minor flaws (makes using it easier like that first scratch on a new car) and I am a big fan of S90V having used it on other platforms. Carbon Fiber is always nice as well ejames13 - not cruwear but I have been trying out other non-stainless...

Re: Essentialism: what are your "vital few" Spydies?
Delica 4 (HAP 40 or VG10) just about perfect everyday carry.
Elmax Para2 (any Para2 variation including the s30V would work)
CE Millie just about perfect for most of my uses
K390 Mule, in cases where a fixed blade is needed

Which Millie to put to use
Just wondering what the forum has to say about putting one of my hardly used millies to work. I have used a CE Millie for a lot of tasks around the house, garden and yard. It is just about perfect for my needs even though CE's are generally frowned upon here. That one is not going to change but I ha...

Re: 4V mule team review
Thanks for the review and welcome. I haven't put mine to use yet. I am in the unfortunate (fortunate?) situation where my fixed blades (mules) far exceed my fixed blade needs. Interesting to hear about the corrosion resistance, My K390 (most used mule) is also far more corrosion resistant that I tho...

Re: If I were upgrading the Delica
Not sure if there is much I would change about the Delica 4. Stronger locks are great but the extra complexity, finishing or material will make them more expensive. Have used a Delica for a lot of years and never had an issue with lock strength. Steel choices would be nice but am pretty happy with V...

Re: Importing kershaw 1900 into canada
Not familiar with Kershaws but based on the video it would most likely be considered a prohibited device (butterfly knives, brass knuckles, pistol magazines over 10 rounds). If not would it be worth the court case to prove? On a personal note not a huge fan of that design. I like my knives to open o...

Well said as usual and sorry for the loss. I may not post all the time but I visit this forum almost every day. I read most threads unless I recognize the OP for the wrong reasons. There is something comforting about seeing the same peoples names show up day after day. It is hard when you are involv...
