Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS

Didn't they do something that for the forum knife one year? I don't know how I feel about asking for an advantage. Also, who's to say there aren't flippers lurking among us? They could be RIGHT BEHIND YOU AHHHH!

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS

I've always wanted to go so I really hope this works out! I can't imagine how they can organize it so it's fair for all, but then again I've only been thinking about it for 5 minutes and they've had weeks. Fingers crossed!

Re: Mr. Lester DeAsis passes

Very sad news, and it sounds like you lost a friend, Sal. Very cool you got to know him, but of course not surprising as you are both kings of the industry. I like a lot of Benchmade designs and own a few, and they've driven the industry as much as any company for as long as I've known. I only hope ...

Stretched straight spine sounds like a Police 4 on a Stretch grip.

Meh
I think more like a Military with a Stretch grip. Meh for me as well, though.

Re: Production Cruwear? (or other tool steel)

Cruwear is my favorite steel, and that's coming from someone who no longer likes to participate in the steel debate, as the performance margins are slim and so confounded by heat treatment and geometry. My Cruwear Military somehow really manages to stand out among my modest but diverse collection as...

Re: Paramilitary 2 - CTS-204p Question

Yeah, I think what you have there is a grind line. What most likely happened there is a deeper-than-normal scratch was made by the coarse belt, and the subsequent finer grits failed to mute it. It's not by any means a defect, and certainly nothing to worry about. They are all over my knives, certain...

I haven't bought a folder in a year and a half. I thought I had everything I needed. Then I saw that blue Para 3. I need that NOOOOOOOW!

The best thing is the handle, try using one without ;)
This! There are a lot of sharp things that you can use to cut stuff, but they're worthless if you can't hold them!

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

This is the first I'm hearing of this, and I must say, I'm intrigued. I love my Lum Tanto, but it is a big knife and I'm finding myself trending towards smaller blades more and more lately. But god help them if they do it in natural G-10 and M4. They played that out fast.

The best kind of review! Thanks indeed for taking the time to share. It's good to know that the most minimal amount of care will keep this sort of knife running like new!

Re: Your views on machetes?

When I have to defend my house from nature, I use what I guess you could consider a small machete. It's from Ontario Knife Co., they call it the Night Stalker 9 which I don't like to tell people because while I do use it to chop down stalks, I do it during the day time. It's 9.5" of 1/4" t...

Re: White Handle

^Polished G-10 in white is cool. Regular peel-ply G-10 in white is not something I'd want. I think Cruwear grey is as light as I'd like for peel-ply G-10. White FRN...hmm...you know what? Maybe.

Re: C-46 Lum Tanto Folder: For an EDC anyone?

Oh I enjoy carrying mine very much. It's pointy and great at opening boxes. I don't carry it often, however, purely as a result of its size. I don't carry my big knives much anymore since 5 days a week I'm mostly sitting on my butt and just don't need that much cutting firepower. If there was a baby...

Before that it cut up a bunch of pumpkin flesh to go into the freezer.
Cooked or raw? I just used my stainless Delica to cut open a pumpkin that I roasted whole so I could scoop out the goods and puree it for all kinds of good stuff! :)

Re: K390 fans rejoice!

Laminated or not, put some G-10 handles on the Delica and put my address on the box! Not holding my breath for that though. I imagine if they're doing the whole family in it, it will simply be a different color FRN.

I got some good ones that morning considering how bad the lighting was. Oh I know the struggle! I feel like I'm always battling lighting. It's either not enough, flat and dull, or backlit. My dogs are always standing between me and the sun. Thank goodness for digital though. I've saved a lot ...

Ouch! That sounds painful. Did you break anything? It was, but not so bad that I couldn't ride 2 hours home on it. I broke my 5th metatarsal, the bone in the outside of your foot. The surgeon must have done a bang-up job cuz it doesn't hurt at all now. I haven't taken any of the dope they gave me. ...

Ladybug hawkbill SE, cuz I lost it skiing like the second day I carried it. If I had bought two, then I wouldn't have to wait for another one to come in the mail. :D

Re: Waterway Options Poll

You could sell me just about anything with an orange handle, FYI. Handles are about the only things that excite me these days. I do want this knife and the Siren, but I decided only when there was a non-black version would I open myself up to love again. I haven't bought a knife in over a year. Gimm...
