If you don't have to take it apart don't! :D The Manix 2 is a pain in the arse because of the press fitted lanyard hole, once taken apart it never fits back properly and you'll either have to glue it or use a screw through the lanyard hole like Jylong Away did after his rescale.
Hope this helps!

If I'm not carrying a Spydie I carry either a Leatherman Skeletool or Wave, other than that a Victorinox, usually the Explorer model.

I'm one of the few that actually found the original Paramilitary to be quite pleasing. I'll have to keep my eye out for clearances when it gets closer to the end of the month. Me too, I still prefer the look of it to the new version. I have two of them and will get at least one more. I always liked...

Having said that you would either have to not use the pocket clip or find some other way of attatching it because the threads are in the steel liners.

That's what I was thinking. The recessed liners would be the only real issue without machines handy. Like ChrisR said though would the liners really be necessary or are they a part of the locking mechanism? Well the Delica didn't have liners at all before the fourth version, like the Salts don't, s...

With the liners being recessed into the frn it would make it difficult to do, I'm sure there are people who could do it but it would more than likely cost more than the Delica to begin with. The G10 version of the Delica on the other hand would be a relatively easy rescale.

I'm sure Cold Steel make some great products, but to me they just look like generic tactical knives. Spyderco appeal to more than just one niche of the market and cover pretty much all facets of knife culture, and I think that's what makes them the best knife company out there.
