Re: S110v - waning popularity?
I love it. I was eyeing the S110V Manix I gave my son in law the other day, and wondering why I didn’t get one for myself. I have a Manix with S90V and a PM 2 in S110V both are excellent knives. I will likely buy a Manix in S110V sometime, I prefer the LW and G10 Manix to the Para by a slight margin...

Re: Is the CBBL dead???
Micro Manix? Nano Manix? Besides a Hawkbill what about a Sheepsfoot or Wharncliffe CBBL? A LW model with screw together construction would be welcome. The Sheepsfoot in LC 200 N as a Salt model would be awesome. I would be happy to pay extra for corrosion resistant hardware in that configuration. On...

Re: Spyderco Watu is the answer to my quest
I love my Watu as well. It’s got what I think is the best Carbon fiber/G10 slabs among my Spydies. I love the wire clip too. The slim profile is perfect in the pocket.

My birthday is September 9th, I like Elmax. It’s meant to be! Maybe. I gotta see what model.

Re: Lil Para
Not interested. The mock up looks awkward to my eyes, and I don’t think a 3 fingered grip is so great. On really small knives a slip joint combined with a slim blade is adequate. Like the Honey bee. A Micro Para would have too thick a blade stock, assuming it was in line with other Para designs.

Carbon fiber, SPY 27, Elmax, or S 90V.

Re: Models you'd like to see return.
C22 Walker, Persian, Starmate. Any current steel, would prefer something not VG 10 or SV 30. I think the C22 on the current secondary market is just crazy expensive.

Re: Can we talk about Amazon?
There is a Spyderco Amazon store. If you search for Spyderco Sharpmaker there’s a link in the sponsored result. It’s in blue text. https://smile.amazon.com/stores/Spyderco/page/081FF140-1E69-46AD-B49D-1C95779D5BC0?ref_=ast_bln Price is $75, you could use your Amazon card and get the genuine item. I...

The Smock is an awesome front flipper. I hope it gets the FFG treatment and S45VN or MagnaCut. That knife also has the button comp lock, awesome knife.

Re: Most Favored Spyderco Collaborator(s) To Return?
Michael Walker the C22, Ed Schempp, the Persian and Terzuola’s Starmate should all be revived. New designs by any of these would be welcome.

Sharpmaker because I know it. You can teach someone to sharpen a knife in minutes and you can sharpen scissors and potato peelers and probably anything else in the kitchen.

Re: Gushing interest in Stretch 2 Salt SS LC200N
I'd be interested, Heck, I'd be interested in just about any decently stainless Stretch 2. However, I'm less sure of the need for a Stretch Salt. I think the VG-10 versions are adequately stainless for hunting. As for rafting, I think the Atlantic Salt, which has a similar feel, is a reasonable alt...

Re: Chaparral Sun and Moon scratches on handle from new question
I bought one of these knives, my second Chaparral. The other is Raffir Noble. Because they are Spydies the knife part is great, but these two were purchased for their looks. I carry and will use them but I value their appearance more than most of my collection. Your example is without any issues? I...

Re: Anything negative to say about "made in Taiwan"
I don’t have anything negative to say. Each of my Taiwan Spyderco knives, has excellent fit and finish. My Schempp Bowie is flawless. I buy Spyderco because of the quality and design. I don’t choose a knife because of the country of manufacture.

Re: Ikuchi CQI Centering
Personally I wouldn’t return it or make a warranty claim, but it drives me crazy when the blade isn’t centered. I’ve had good luck using a folded piece of paper between the blade and the frame to center some knives and not so much on others. Good luck! I think you have a great knife there.
