Re: Help with new Dragonfly
Wharncliffe arrived. It’s an awesome knife. Carried it a few days. Then reality set in. It’s cool, but it’s not my knife. Reached out to the feller to whom I sold my D’fly salt. Expressed my sorrow. He said he’d prob prefer the wharncliffe anyway. We agreed to trade. Now I have my pocket knife back....

Re: Safety of IWB compression lock at 12:00 while running?
I’d stick with a back lock for in waistband especially for when you’re out being active. I prefer a knife that wants to stay closed but can still easily be opened up. Running, riding, hiking? Backlock.

Re: Let’s face it Liner Locks and Back Locks suck!
This happened to me too many times as well. Ruined a few knives for me. I'm a back lock guy. In my experience, the Axis lock + thumbstud is the most dangerous lock of all. I've had several instances where the thumbstud of a BM snagged inside the front pocket of my pants and opened on my hand while t...

Re: Have you found "the one?"
Dragonfly seems to be the one for me. Recently sold off my se salt D’fly to give another blade a try. Wharncliffe dragonfly in vg10 arrives tomorrow. If the blade resonates with me, I might be looking for another in k390.

Re: Help with new Dragonfly
Wanted to ask, how is the tip on the wharncliffe version? I personally don’t love super thin needle tips on knives. Broken some in the past, and on other dragonfly salts I’ve had, I always shorted the blade a hair and dropped the tip to give it a bit more strength. Not that I would snap off an H1 ti...

Re: Help with new Dragonfly
Yea couldn't pass it up. Doesn't have the stock clip so I'll have to track one of those down. I dig the wire clip.

Re: Help with new Dragonfly
Well I saw a D'fly wharncliffe in VG10 for $45 on another forum and before I knew what happened I had posted I'll take it. Like I said earlier, I used to carry a Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite and really liked the small wharncliffe so I'm excited to give it a go. No patina but I'll survive. Thanks for th...

Re: Help with new Dragonfly
Thanks for the recommendations and pics folks. Sounds like k390 is well liked. I used to carry a Mini Tuff Lite and liked the wharncliffe, but that was years ago and not sure if the standard leaf shape is more versatile for day to day pocket knife duties. Anyone rit dye the blue k390 scales?

Help with new Dragonfly
I’ve carried a serrated Dragonfly Salt for a few years straight but recently sold it. I will be replacing it with a new Dragonfly but going to go plain edge this time. This will be my only pocket knife that aside from a Victorinox Classic and a Douk Douk that lives in my car. What do you guys sugges...

I hate my pocket knife.
I hate my pocket knife. My pocket knife is this Dragonfly Salt. I love it...but I hate it. This knife has for all intents and purposes killed off what used to be a fun hobby for me. It was so fun to research knives, browse the local stores and internet for something new and different, and pick somet...

Re: Build your own dream Spyderco
If I'm going off a current model, I would say a serrated Dragonfly salt just like we have now but with a black coated blade. Still can't believe we haven't seen this! If I'm going off a disco'd model, I'd like to see the Worker model brought back in serrated H1 with FRN scales and either a wire clip...

I hereby declare this is the greatest post I’ve ever read on this forum. Thank you Bloke. Must be great living in a peaceful Utopia. Not everyone in the rest of the world has that opportunity. I used to live on the South Side of Chicago. ... i rarely need my pocket knife to cut anything. ... G’day B...

Re: Mini-Spydercos - Perfect Application
I've found that I can do it all with my Dragonfly. While I love the feel of it clipless, I leave the clip on and it rides in my waistband daily whether I'm at work, or out running or whatever. I don't notice it there when I'm on my mountain bike either. Tried to add a bigger knife but found I didn't...
