Re: Unpopular opinions
CPM-3V is a great steel for a folder. Not sure if it is actually unpopular, but it can definitely be a polarizing opinion! I have no experience with 3V, how does it compare or differ from the 4V we've come to love from these St Nick's exclusives? Easier to sharpen, more stainless, tougher, less wea...

Re: St Nicks Native 5 4V Lightweight
There are already a lot of these on eBay. Looks like most of the early flippers are asking for > $200. My only advice would be to absolutely not buy from the flippers and implore others to do the same. If they cant sell their inventory for an extorted profit, they will eventually move on to another...

Re: Name your favorite sprint run series
Would be cool to see the Rookie join the K390 production series! I've been wanting to see a K390 Rookie sprint for a long time now but maybe its actually ready for another round in the production lineup. I think it would look great in cobalt G10. ;) Excellent idea! They should really lightweight-iz...

Re: Where's the 3V?
Yep, I don't think anyone is saying it is the end-all be-all folder steel, or that it should even be a production steel for folders. Just saying that it is plenty good for a lot of different folder models, so some sprints and exclusives in CPM-3V would be encouraged. I can guarantee they would sell ...

Re: How important is scale color?
Least important aspect for me. Scale material and texture are WAY more important. The only scale "color" I won't buy is Zome. I passed on the Zome GITD knives even though I would have bought them all in plain GITD (I do have the plain GITD Delica). I also passed on all of the smooth G10 Cr...

Re: Where's the 3V?
so glad someone bumped this. 3V is my favorite steel next to lc200n. It's an absolute joy to use and maintain. I'd love some sprints in coated 3V. I'll go against the grain and say some mid sized knives in it would work well. Especially models with finer tips like the chaparral, sage 5, para's, etc...

Re: Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming
Perhaps the GLOBAL PANDEMIC has something to do with the delays? ;) :D Possibly, steelcity16? But we do know, that it does not have anything to do with the Manix 2 LW being omitted from the paperwork, all year. :D My hope is. The delay on the Manix 2 LW, is due to it being swi...

Re: Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming
Perhaps the GLOBAL PANDEMIC has something to do with the delays? ;) :D Perhaps for some but the first three are made in the USA with US materials. I'm assuming many of the parts are sourced from a wide variety of manufacturers. Something as simple as the ball bearing of the Ma...

Bumping for a 3V folder! A DLC 3V-carta Shaman needs to happen! A Manix XL would be sweet as well.

Re: 3V or 4V Steel in a folder.
I like all these sprints being discussed for the native 5 platform. I think I'm ready to start snatching up natives instead of para 3's for now. S90v on the way, maxamet up next. I would love 4v or 3v after that, in that order. I'm with you. The Native and Native LW are my favorite EDC platform wit...

Re: If you could only keep one Spyderco
This question is as old as the internet itself. :) Despite that it isn't any easier for me to answer. In fact since Spyderco began using so many different versions with different steels and finishes it keeps getting more difficult to answer. Since there is no K390 Endura yet I won't choose that tho...

Re: St Nicks Native 5 4V Lightweight
I'd be shocked if we don't see a Military. But there are still many other models they haven't done so it is just a question of where it falls in the sequence.

Re: St Nicks Native 5 4V Lightweight
Missed another one... Hopefully, I manage to purchase at least their Yojimbo 2 that was neither confirmed nor denied when I called SNK a couple of months ago. Last I heard was they were unable to do a Yojimbo since there is already a Red Yojimbo trainer. Not sure if things have changed o...
