Re: if ya have to choose one...
The best $35 I've spent in a long time was on a Kershaw/Emerson CQC 4KXL 6055 . Every knife enthusiast should own one. I had one of the first ones in this line and hated it but this one is perfect. It's right there with the Manix 2 XL or Benchmade Triage that I carry

Case mini Copperlock which is my favorite Case knife at present. Colt M4-K cryoedge Fred Carter design . I think this is the best tactical for the money if you can find one. Very similar to Micro tech socom only about $300 less. Also large German Eye lockback Sodbuster my favorite back pocket knife

Re: .22LR rifle recommendations?
Remington 552 or 572 if you can find one. These are the only 22 rifles I'm aware of that will shoot shorts, longs and long rifles all. I have even taken a box of all three and mixed them with one of each and it with shoot them as fast as you can pull the trigger with a different sound each shot. Pre...

Re: Knife "grail" question
The Canal Street cutlery Canittler is about as close to the grail slip joint folder as you can get but there's nothing out there that I would recommend as a tactical.

Saw my first Spyderco counterfeit s
I saw two SpyderCo counterfeits Saturday. One Paramilitary with Compression lock on the wrong side and another with digital camo in an urban color and that one was a liner lock. Also the boxes didn't have any sticker with the bar code etc. on it. As far as I know there hasn't been a paramilitary mad...

Re: Which do you suggest
I don't like the Mamba either because the fancy swedge at the top eliminates another method of opening or deployment. I doubt that you can pull the blade open between thumb and forefinger and also the sharp square edge right where you go in and out of your pocket. The over prooounced finger grooves ...

Re: Which do you suggest
The thing with autos is that they restrict you to only one method of deployment which is that little bitty button . You can't even pull the blade open because it's locked in place. Suppose you get in a struggle for your life, you drop your knife and if you recover it it's upside down and backwards i...
