So, it's Saturday afternoon. I laid up in bed, my leg wrapped in ice. I'm on huge ammounts of antibotics and pain killers due to a brown reculse bite. I want to get to a better place in life so I fire up the laptop and hit my favorite web forum. I make the huge mistake of looking at the link provide...

Cookies and cache are two different things. Cookies just hold your setting (and some of them spy on you). If they upgraded their server and or bandwith, that would make a speed difference too.

I would bet that if you used this link http://www.ci.el-paso.tx.us/police/eppd_contact_us.htm and explain the problem it will get her attention.

Be careful what you ask for SilverDragon. Our insane Senator Feinstien tried to get spyderco knives classed as switchblades so that they would be illegal here. The knife lobby was able to beat her, but it was touch and go. If they were assist open that would have inflamed the lunatics even more. Rig...

Are they illegal there?

The Russian made ballistic knives that I have used in training are well made and quite impressive at close range. I wouldn't want one shot at me.

SilverDragon,
You can get one at the Cow Palace gun show when the are released. If you keep it in your house it isn't against the law to have one here.

The ones that aren't in shadow boxes for display are kept in a locked pellican case that is kept inside a gun safe.

Ahh, then this program will not work. Sorry, the only way I could get them back for you is to get my hands on the hard drive and run some forensic software on it.

How did you loose them? Did the shop format your hard drive? If they didn't I can send you a program that will recover deleted files.

Thanks for that info. I am assuming that they are not really common as I have never seen them before. I paid $35 US for the pair which seemed like a good deal to me. They will make nice companions to my mini mariner and police necklice.

Gunshow find

I found these two small Spyderco's at the local gun show this weekend. One is PE with Pearl handle, the other is SE with some type of wood handle. Any information on these little beauties that the group could give me would be appreciated. <a href="/forums/attachmentarchive/9255-7-Minis.jpg"...

Swede, give me a break, stronger knife control because someone is drunk and acts like an idiot? California already has stronger Knife laws than gun laws. It is a felony to carry certain knives concealed, whereas if you carry a concealed firearm it's a misdemaenor. Sound more like a case of needing t...

I got my first Buck 110 (with no dots or dashes on the blade) in the early 70's. It cost $21.30 with tax. I had to think hard and long about the outrageous price. Little did I realize that the knives in my future would make that price look cheap.

My EDC is a S&W 3913 9mm and a Colt AR 15-K dual action knife. I know the 9mm is not the best to use but the Black Talon rounds make up for it's lack of knockdown power.

Gadfly,

I know that knife well. I have two of them, one made by Logan-Smythe, the other by Camilus. I have had one in my duty bag for years. It's hard to beat the line hook for cutting seat belts.
