Re: CBSA going after flipper type opening

My Canadian friends, today is a holiday in the US which celebrates Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. This seems fitting. “One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that ...

Can you imagine being stuck with thousands of dollars in inventory
Hey, after buying 3 knives in a little over a month, I'm workin' on it. ;)

Governments don't suck, the folks that elect them might have something to do with it though. :)

Re: CBSA going after flipper type opening

I'm a conspiracy nut so take this with a grain (or wheel-barrow) of salt but this isn't too far outside the realm of possibility, especially in this country: 1. Some politician in the government has a burr up their @$$ and decided he/she doesn't like the fact that people can carry a "quick depl...

Re: PM2 issues

All great ideas. I just got a PM2 and a Para 3 from W&W myself but I had to loosen the pivots, squirt in some BM Blue-Lube (egad! sacreligious I know) as they both were a little stiff. However, because of our drakonian knife laws enforced by our friendly neighbourhood border clowns I realize tha...

Re: Tip up or down from the factory, why?

From the January 2016 Spyderco Byte: A Deeper Look at Pocket Clips Since Spyderco pioneered the concept of mounting a pocket clip on a folding knife 35 years ago, clips have come a long way. One of the most basic clip decisions is whether it should be tip-up or tip-down. from the horse's mouth...

Re: Your Spyderco New Year's EDC

Since I only have two Spydercos and for all intents and purposes, they are pretty well the same knife, so I'll have to flip a coin....

Re: New Para 3 with side to side blade play--is it normal?

I took delivery of an all black PM2 as well as an all black Para 3 a week ago, and both have very slight blade play if I adjust for smooth operation. If I adjust the pivot to get rid of blade play, I can't move the blade without using 2 hands. I'd rather have blade play. That being said, I'm not too...

Re: Grail discussions!!

When I bought my first "current" knives, I thought $30 knives were expensive and anything above that was unobtainable and grail-like. Then I went up the ladder so to speak and bought increasingly more expensive knives. For me, my grail was anything over $200 CAN and the Benchmade 940 was w...

Re: Benchmade 940

I don't like the feel of metal scales and one of the reasons I don't like aluminum or stainless steel scales, however, I do own a couple anyway. That is why I don't have the aluminum 940 (not to mention I don't like the green colour) but I wouldn't trade my 940 -2 for love nor money. I have never ow...

Re: End of a Journey

Ha ha, great ideas guys. Of course you all know I'm just funnin' with ya. I just got my order in from W&W out in B.C. and Canada Post got the order to me in 3 days, a feat that is almost a miracle (for them).Unfortunately, Spyderco knives are virtually unheard of out in Eastern Ontario and requi...

End of a Journey

Well I finally filled the last two spots on my 12 pocket knife storage pouch. The last two knives for my modest collection are my first/only Spydercos, an all black PM2 and an all black Para 3, both in S30v . I now feel complete, like joining the dark and light halves of the force. All is right in t...
