My Manix also had some marks on the screw heads when I got it new; it's probably just from machining or when they were screwed in at the factory. Nothing to worry about. As far as the blade, it doesn't look too bad. Mine is slightly uncentered like yours is. As long as it doesn't scrape or touch the...

Definitely get the Manix 2. No question. I flip flopped between the Manix 2 and the Delica 4 FFG as my first Spyderco, ended up going with the Manix 2, and I have no regrets. I got the Delica 4 later on, and I never really liked it as much as the Manix. It doesn't really compare. For the second one,...

I also noticed that my MoonGlow Manix has a somewhat stronger spring. However, I'm guessing that over time it will break in and become slightly easier to actuate. It probably wouldn't be hard to swap springs (it would void your warranty though), but I think breaking it in by opening it a lot is a be...

I own the original Manix 2 (154CM hollow sabre grind) and one variant (EDCforums MoonGlow). I love both. They are awesome knives. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_O9q8X121WxA/TWBS2n1Pr3I/AAAAAAAAASo/p_tngRmbg4U/s640/IMG_0072.JPG Here's a list of the Manix 2 variants: Textured CF handle, FFG CPM-S9...

I'm skeptical about the charcoal idea because every time I've gotten something from someone who smoked it has had a thin layer of tar on it that trapped the odor. When that's true (and you can see it when you rub some cleaner onto the surface - the cloth will be brownish), you have to dissolve and ...

Has anyone notice that some of these are being auctioned up to 350 bucks! I understand since it really is kind of hard to get but wow about that price so soon... I know, it's pretty crazy already. I'm hoping that the price will inflate so much that if collectors like us decide to sell ours for what...

The glare is annoying. I went from a very thin trashbag diffuser to the flexable type with a weave pattern. It didn't help. The bulp is a 60wastt twisty evergy saver so its not toooo bright. Maybe less foil in the reflector(shade)would kill the glare. The pics got fuzzy when I tried that before, th...

There are some great responses already, most of which are key to making a proper edge. Here's a couple suggestions of mine: Make sure you apply a slight, even pressure while sharpening Don't let your knives get dull; sharpen them when it feels like they are loosing that bite when you thumb the edge....

If you want a super thin wallet, I highly suggest checking out Big Skinny wallets. I have their leather-hybrid bifold model, and I love it! It's super thin, and so far has be very durable. I'd suggest one of the small card cases for your needs.

Hi Simsmac, Most of the comments made should give you a good idea. It's difficult to machine and also must be surface ground. It's not a tough as G-10. It isa quite unique and as I understand, there are other models also planned to use this material from the EDC forum. sal Thanks Sal! I appreciate ...
