In the area of sight, I've been fortunate. I'm in my very late 70's and don't need glasses for reading, driving, or anything. But please don't start discussing other aspects of loss in old age.

I'm less than a mile from saltwater and have lived on the Atlantic most of my life. We always had a boat and cruised up and down the mid-Atlantic coast for many years. I even crossed the Atlantic twice on a troopship, but swimming in mile-deep water is kind of crazy.

Back in my day, in the '50s, most boys carried a small wet(spit) stone and a pocket knife. You kept the knife razor-sharp for many reasons. I've also carried knives since I was 8, or so, but don't think I've ever carried more than one at a time. That equates to 70 years of only carrying one knife at a time. Does this mean I'm going to ****? :)

I have to say that for the past 70+ years this has worked out for me. Once in a while, I will have some cornbread with my coffee. I'm just under 6' and 180lbs and I think ill stick to what works for me. Thank you.

I can't remember the name of the **** thing. I think it's a kapara. If I'm wrong...life goes on.

Some people have some problems that I, for one, don't want to get into.

Most of the time just coffee.

It may be known as a plain Jane, but she is dear to my heart.

Another I'll carry for another day and then sell. It's been in my drawer for 3 years.
