This is one of my special places. The nearest paved road is miles away. Great pickerel fishing too.

Re: 2022 Reveal — Stovepipe Thread C260TIP
Looks well made. Appears to be a "boy NInja" type and for 400 beans I'll stick with my CRK's. I don't really like little knives.

Doesn't ring any bells here, but for those that like this type design, have fun.

Re: CryptoCurrencies?
My son has been involved with cryptocurrencies for some time now and does extremely well. I totally don't understand the concept and stick with the stock market. He has made well in the 7 figures over the last few years, but you have to have big money in your pocket to be able to invest in the right...

Re: Steels you won't buy...and why
I know that I'm way, way over the hill, but you asked. I grew up on tool steel knives going back to my original tool steel Case, about 70 years ago. At least I think it was a Case Trapper. I still have it. I made 02 knives for many years for the local deer hunters. We learned how to care for what we...

Re: Ll. Bean boots any good?
I have been an L.L. Bean customer for most of my life. I probably have 12 or 15 of their flannel shirts hanging in my closet. They are the best. They last forever and are no comparison to everyday clothing. As a young boy, our family was on vacation in the Maine area back in the '50s and we visited ...

Re: Old guys on the forum
In the area of sight, I've been fortunate. I'm in my very late 70's and don't need glasses for reading, driving, or anything. But please don't start discussing other aspects of loss in old age.

Re: Ocean Depth Comparison
I'm less than a mile from saltwater and have lived on the Atlantic most of my life. We always had a boat and cruised up and down the mid-Atlantic coast for many years. I even crossed the Atlantic twice on a troopship, but swimming in mile-deep water is kind of crazy.

Re: On which knife did you learn how to sharpen?
Back in my day, in the '50s, most boys carried a small wet(spit) stone and a pocket knife. You kept the knife razor-sharp for many reasons. We lived in farm country and had to use them for a zillion different uses. We all had the ability to shave with our knives, but we still didn't have anything to...

Re: Only carrying one? Better count!
I've also carried knives since I was 8, or so, but don't think I've ever carried more than one at a time. That equates to 70 years of only carrying one knife at a time. Does this mean I'm going to ****? :)

#1 Smock
#2 Kapara
Both would fit the bill in most any scenario.
