The Lum is the most elegant of the bunch, but still would be at home in some back alley. The Perrin is street steel pure and simple, but looks like it'd be at home in a kitchen drawer. The Morans are great field/utility knives that can also be used for MBC. The Temperance fixed blade will be whateve...

I've been after Sal for a number of years to make a slightly larger Harpy for River Rescue. Maybe now that we have MBC, we could see this happen.

Thanks, Samo and all, for the nice comments on my sheaths! I can and have made sheaths with the blade already deployed, but given the fact that you can deploy the blade right on the drawstroke from the closed folder neck sheaths, in most cases this isn't advantageous. Pinch the Spydie Hole with thum...

Hey samo.

How goes it? Rescue is a great knife for its intended purpose. The sheath looks a little familiar. Hope all is well with you.

Yes, the sheaths in the Combat Knives article by James Keating (and one in Tactical Knives by Jerry VanCook) are mine - River City Sheaths. I make them for most all the Spydies in neck, pack, or belt configurations. For some pursuits, like whitewater boating or rock climbing, the pocket clip isn't g...

whosyour, I frequently carry a Civilian or Matriarch,,and for their intended purpose, there's probably no difference in performance. The Civilian is more robust and the Matriarch is lighter in weight, so the question would be which is more important to you. I use neck sheaths a lot, so the lighter w...
