I'd want frn handles, a reversible clip, a plain-edge option, and ATS-55 steel.

Wait! That's what I've already got. As someone who values function over form and who refuses to overspend for a knife, the Endura is perfect already. Way to go, Spyderco!

I have never felt "bad" for carrying a knife. But I'll admit there have been times when I sat by and watched some nitwit tear at something with car keys or a pen or something to open it. Scoffing and them for not carrying a knife, and knowing full well that they'd give me the old "wha...

A few year's back, a buddy's Worker was nearly my first Spydie. He badly needed cash and was willing to sell it to me at a fair price. He let me tote the knife around for a few days. After that, I declined and just loaned him the dough instead. I felt it was too heavy and the slim, pointy blade was ...

Spydie spyed on Bob Dylan's tour bus

I just got the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine. It has Bob Dylan on the cover, blowing a harmonica. Inside, as part of the story on Bob, there's a picture of he and the guys in the band playing cards on the bus. Right there in the middle of the table is what looks like an open Ladybug. Could ...

A few years back I traveled to Cuba. While in Havana, one of the soles on my shoes came loose. I sought out a shoe repair guy and found him working in a dusty open-air market. For a few bucks, he used a sharpened bit of crude steel to cut a clean groove around the edge of the rubber sole, then used ...

Wow, if they make a VG10 Endura, I could replace my current one with that when it wears out. I reckon that'll be in around 2020. At that point, or if I lose it before then, I'll get the new version. :-)

fisherman: Just curious, why would you want to take a Military, an Endura, AND a Native? I could maybe see taking one of the larger knives (Military or Endura) and the smaller Native. But all three? What's the point? As for what to bring, I'd recommend taking the Endura and stowing it in your checke...

I'm a gigging musician and therefore spend a lot of time cutting stuff (wires, cords, last-minute set lists and, mainly, lots of duct tape). One problem to consider with serrations, is that they're, frankly, kind of a pain to clean up. I don't like carrying around a blade covered in "tape goo&q...

Like others said, Sal's got a powerful point. But I submit that rapping about it here in a forum doesn't do much. Better yet, sharpen up those pencils, boys, and write letters to the editor of the magazine.
