I have an ATS-55 Endura and love it. I haven't had any stain/rust isssues like some I've read about. And I live in a coastal community with a lot of salt in the air. I have no problems getting and keeping a good edge on it.

This kind of thing is exactly why I carry an Endura instead of a Worker or Police or Viele or Civilian or Centofante. Ever try to smear peanut butter or jam with one of those narrow, pointy blades!?

How about the good old Delica. My completely uninformed guess ;-) is that if you stow it in your checked baggage and, when you're around the Federales carry it IN your pocket instead of clipped and visible, you should be ok. Might be wise to get a plain-edge one too, just because of some idiots' pre...

Why? Let's just say I'm a bit skeptical of any cowboy story that doesn't star John Wayne. I'd be interested to see some corroborating evidence, be it an online police report or a write up in local paper. If the police were involved, there is a record of this somewhere. I'm NOT saying it didn't happe...

My EDC is a lightweight, plain-edge ATS-55 Endura. I sometimes wipe it with my t-shirt. If I've been cutting something sticky like fruit or packing tape, I'll run some water over it first and maybe use a little soap. Other than that, nothing. I refuse to baby a working knife. And I think the Endura ...

My frn plain-edged Endura rocks! I always loved carrying a Schrade LB7 folding hunter when I was a kid. But they're so **** heavy you either have to wear 'em on a belt sheath (not for me, thanks) or cinch up the old belt extra tight so your pants don't fall down from the excess tonnage. With the End...

For me, the combo of my plain-edge Endura (or some other as-yet-to-be-purchased Spydie) and a Victorinox Spartan or Leatherman Wave is a hard one to beat. And I like Buck's trad folders quite a bit too (though I only have two, a smaller 709 and a 526 Executive to tote at the office). I have no "...

Oops, y'all are right, I meant VG-10, not G10.

That's great news that the Pro Grip will be available with VG-10. Count me in! I think this is a really under-rated little knife with a great utilitarian blade.

Are there any plans on the books to upgrade the steel on the Pro Grip Lightweight from AUS-8 to ATS-55 or G10 or something else?

Nothing says you HAVE to use the clip at all times. A Delica dropped down into the pocket makes a pretty dandy pocketknife. And, when you think you'll definitely need one-handed access or when you're not near the leather sofa or brand new car, you can clip it to a pocket.
