Re: G10 SPY27 Native?
I would love to see a G10 SPY27 Manix, I hope SPY27 makes it to the whole Golden line. It’s Spyderco’s own steel recipe, so it would only be fitting. I just hope the G10 models keep the dark blue scales like the FRN models.

Re: What is your favorite scale color between Burnt Orange or Blurple?
Blue is my favorite color, and it seems I’m starting a pseudo-collection of blue Spyderco’s, so Blurple is definitely my preference.

Re: Would s110v family sale better w/o Blurple?
Just look at the spectrum of colors that cars are bought in, some of them really make me wonder why anyone would be caught dead driving a car in those colors but they wouldn't exist if people weren't buying them. This is so true. I’m one of those who loves to drive a car that you could spot in a pa...

Probably my most frequent pairing, my usual EDC. Manix 2 LW with a Casio F91WM-2A on a nylon band.

Re: How do you pronounce "Caribbean"?
I'm another that says Ca RIB ean in every case except when refering to Pirates, in which case its always Pirates of the Cari BE an. I don't know if thats social programming or what, but Pirates of the Ca RIB ean just sounds wrong and conjures images of Jack Sparrow in a straw hat drinking a margheri...

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread
I've got to say that the PM2 Tanto has found some real utility in my life(...) That Tanto tip sets up the perfect angle to get in between delicate materials in order to separate them(...) For scoring or draw cutting, using the secondary point, it allows me to push instead of just pull. Stop and thi...

Re: Powerlock Manix XL
I love the CBBL, it’s one of my favorite locks. However, I think that a back-lock type lock like the Power Lock is a good fit for the Manix XL design, the original Manix (which essentially became the XL) was a back-lock. I can see where it would inspire more confidence, and it would also enable tip-...

Re: After market Titanium Shaman Scales
Brass handle Shaman brigs a whole new meaning to pocket brick :D Can you imagine? Copper scales and copper backspacer on a Shaman! Their website says the scales alone weigh in at 5.62oz! The Shaman is already 5.2oz with the G10, you’ve gotta be pushing close to 10oz with those copper scales!

Re: Polishing Lil’ Native G10 scales?
I don’t think I want to contour much, more so just remove most of the texture. So the green compound is what brings out the shine? It sounds like essentially I’d use sandpaper to get to the level of texture I want, then use the polishing compound to finish off whatever level of texture that is.

Polishing Lil’ Native G10 scales?
Has anyone polished the factory black G10 scales on the Lil’ Native? I want to dress mine up a little, but no aftermarket scales have really piqued my interest, and I’m thinking polishing the factory scales would look really nice, not to mention likely cheaper. I’m just unsure of the complete proces...

Re: Predictions for Reveal 7
I can’t believe I forgot, but another one of my “wishes” is the Manix LW Salt with an LC200N blade! At this point handle color doesn’t matter, I’d take it with anything!

Re: Manix 3
I don’t think the wire clip would work well on the XL (or the normal G10 for that matter), but if the clip was moved closer to the butt so less stuck out of the pocket, I think that would be a good improvement.

Re: Predictions for Reveal 7
Some of my predictions are: 1. Salt 2 with green scales and FFG LC200N blade 2. Dragonfly Salt with green scales and FFG LC200N blade 3. Lil’ Native Lightweight, very possibly sporting the LC200N blade we saw in the BenShot glass with yellow scales Some of my wishes are: 1. G10 Manix with SPY27 blad...

Re: EDC vs WEDC
I carry an orange Dragonfly every day at work. After work, I have a rotation of a few larger knives (mainly a Manix LW, Pacific Salt and Shaman) as I don’t have to worry about concerning customers. It’s funny that the Dragonfly is subsequently my most carried knife, because I don’t love the knife. A...

Re: Manix 3
So, what do we think about the clip on the Manix 3? I actually am a big fan of the non-deep carry wire clip of the lightweight. It’s probably my favorite iteration of a wire clip actually, so I wouldn’t want anything different. How about the spoon clip on the G10?

Re: Manix 3
I tend to agree with the "easier to take it away than put it there" line of thinking in regards to liner jimping (Manix), reinforced tips (Pacific) and grip texturing (Siren) so I don't necessarily think it should be nixed completely, but if it protruded maybe 50% less I think less people ...

Re: Endura 4 Stainless Hollow to Saber Grind Change
Are these changes that were directed by Spyderco though? Your (Yablanowitz) post made it sound like its just something the factory decided to do themselves. Obviously Spyderco makes changes as things go on, for recent examples look at the inclusion of Sals makers mark on all(?) the models that were ...

Re: FRN/Lightweights: I just can’t get into them
I’m quite the opposite, it seems I can’t get out of them! :p I feel like I’m always looking at getting a nice blacked out G10 Manix or a G10 Native, but then as I ponder I realize the G10 won’t do anything the FRN can’t, and if I buy the FRN, I’ll have more money left over for more knives! In additi...

Re: Endura 4 Stainless Hollow to Saber Grind Change
As to why the change from hollow saber to flat saber, the maker's machine for hollow grinding probably broke down so they are flat grinding until they can repair or replace it. Um... I really don’t see this being the case. If a machine broke in their production, I would think they would stop produc...

Re: Manix 3
@Wartstein, regarding the extended blade, have you seen my mockups on the previous page? I photoshopped an extended blade over the regular Manix to at least provide a visual representation of how an extended Manix blade would theoretically look like. :) I personally completely missed your post, no ...
