I have seen many sharks while scuba diving. In the islands, countless reef and nurse sharks. But my favorite shark encounters always occur off the coast of NC. I've dove some wrecks in the Morehead City area where it is not uncommon to have 50+ Sand Tigers on the wreck. It's always spooky to descend...

I just ordered the Al Mar Osprey and the Fred Perrin Tri folder. I've got my eyes out for a Kiwi 2 if I can find one. The AG Russell funny folder looks interesting. Those are the kinds of small knives I like. Solid, clever, different folders to showcase different knife makers. It seems like every kn...

Anyone have any thoughts on these: http://www.gpknives.com/al-mar-osprey-stainless-steel.html http://www.knifeworks.com/fredperrinfrdmk114milepititri.aspx These are both completely new designs for me. These might be a bit bigger than I want to go. I like when the knife is close for the total length ...

Small Stainless Steel Folders. Spyderco and others....whats your favorite

In addition to my Spyderco collection, I also have a soft spot for good quality small stainless steel handle folders. I'm talking about folders the size of the Spyderco Ladybug. The kind that fits in the tiny pocket of a pair of jeans. Currently I have a Stainless Steel ladybug, a Benchmade 10610 Mc...

When will the FFG Manix 2 G10 models be available? I have a buddy who I owe a gift to and he has expressed interest in the Manix 2. I'd like to get this new version if possible. I'd settle for the older hollow grind 154CM or CPM30V G10 versions but those seem to be out of stock everywhere I've looke...

I'm thinking about parting with my Caly 3.5 Super Blue. I see why everyone likes this knife but it never really had the same "perfect" effect as say the para or sage lines. Will I regret selling the Caly 3.5 Super Blue?

I'd suggest a PM2 first, followed by a Manix2. If your getting a Sage, I'd look at a Sage 1 or 2 before I went after a 3. Come to think of it, I'd probably recommend getting a Sage 1 over all those other choices. Its a great knife.

Its a good knife. I personally prefer the Sage 1, 2, and 4 over the 3. But for $75 its a good buy.
