New Ti/Elmax Pingo...

Happened to be perusing the "Coming Soon" section of Blade HQ's site and was surprised to discover that the new Ti scaled, Elmax blade version of the Pingo is expected sometime in (early?) 2015! Just about any new Jens Anso design gets my attention, and as a fan of smaller contemporary fol...

Re: It is something "evil" attached to my Techno

Nothing ethereal at work here, but rather an exceedingly well executed production Ti frame-lock folder (more closely parroting the custom from which it's based than is usually the case with a collab. blade), that's on par with many mid-techs and customs for far less $$...that also just happens to po...

Re: Sal, please offer Sage1 stealth wire clips for larger kn

Another vote for more black wire clips. It's my favorite too for discreet carry. Also, and perhaps more importantly, PLEASE (Sal) look into increasing the wire dia. of the clips, or otherwise find a way to increase the grip strength of the wire clips, particularly on certain folders w/smooth Ti scal...

Re: 7 Years Hard Use on This Spyderco Knife

Bravo Bolster...thanks a lot for posting these pics! I tend to carry my least favorite and/or less expensive Spyderco folders when I know I'll be using them hard. This is a wake up call for me to start using ALL my knives as the actual tools they are, and for which they were designed.

Re: Techno ordered

After around 18mos. of almost exclusive carry, I feel I truly stumbled upon my all-time favorite EDC folder in the Techno! It genuinely holds it's own in build quality and looks with customs. I posted the following on this forum about a year ago, and my assessment is still the same today... "I ...

Para 2's in stock...

Just a heads up to those on the lookout for Para 2's. Looks like GP has plain Jane S30v's in black and dig. camo G10 in stock at the moment for approx $118.

Come to think of it, make this in a Ti frame lock flipper with Super blue. Yes. This is exactly why I desperately want to see the SpydeChef - concept kitchen framelock folder by Marcin Slycz become a buy-able reality. Not a flipper or SB, but I'd take it in XHP any day...an upmarket Rock Lobster ho...

Mine's been been somewhat obsessively flick'd in the 18mos or so I've owned it and the lock-bar has moved from around 25% new to around 30/35% at present...really only an incremental change, and lock-up remains solid. Sal once stated in a past post that he would make good on it if there was ever an ...

Thanks for your comments markg. I have always loved the modified wharnie/sheepsfoot blade shape and overall size of the Pingo but have hesitated buying due to my dislike for FRN and I'm not a huge slippy fan. It always reminded me a little of a small Rock Lobster and/or somewhat of the Marcin Slysz ...

Does anyone else with a Techno think I have the wrong clip? I bought it on a forum, and I think the seller made a clip swap because mine doesn't look bead-blasted/stonewashed. http://i.imgur.com/wz5d2S8.jpg Looks like you might have a Sage 2 clip there? Not to worry it'll eventually look stonewashe...

I think those that expect the Techno to have perfect ergos and generally are off-put by the thick spine, acute grind, etc., are perhaps missing the point of this particular folder. To me it's an esoteric Ti frame-lock of such spectacular build quality, F&F and materials that it easily holds it's...
