I would be very interested in a Spyderco straight or Kamisori. How about a small flash batch to test the waters :)

Re: How can you tell if black dlc blades are corroding?
I've never seen a DLC knife to rust under the coating, but one that I did see was a coated PPT sprint with rust spots. That was a different coating tho.

Re: Caly 3 EDC perfection? Could we see a compression?
Hopefully it will be a screw construction, too! I get nervous about full steel liners that are pinned together. One nice thing about compression lock would that it would allow for through-through construction. EDIT: How do you guys take care of your caly's? I just picked up a HAP40 Caly 3 that I lo...

Would like to see that beautiful thin blade with a nice handle.
Happy with any of the great steels the Japanese Spyderco factory uses. :)

Re: Proper Sharpening of Santoku (Sal or Taz)
Not sure about the Spyderco santoku but I have seen asymmetrical grinds from factory on a family members knife. It doesn't look as if is a mistake and I tend to sharpen that knife the way it came. It performs great. I would guess it has about 10 degrees on one side and 20 on the other.

Loving my super smooth Caly 3 hap 40. Would be great to have the 3.5 to match :)
The knife is great as is I think. Won't mind if a cqi version comes out but it's already so good :D

Re: Customer service Europe (or even Germany)
I feel what could be a solution is for European distributors to send a batch of repairs every month or two to the mothership. The customers hand the warranty issue to the shop, and shop sends it to the distributor. This way the customers don't have to be worried about the customs and the distributor...

Blades like these make me wish even more that I could be spending my time on/in sweet/salt water like it's designer! Very cool blade, probably won't get it since I wouldn't have use for it but definitely makes me wish I did! ;) Never mind being on land, I'm gonna get this one! Looked like a very co...

Re: Spyderco Ultra Fine 306uf (8 x 3) problem?
Likewise my Spyderco 306uf Ceramic 3" × 8" benchstone is'nt flat either and I'm pretty sure I did'nt simply get a bad one. Unfortunately the only diamond stone I have for lapping purposes is an ultra fine DMT. I'm really willing to risk ruining that one too on a salvage attempt that has n...

Re: Southfork or Sprig sprint?
The sprig is on my short list to pick up. But it’s s90v already. Are there much gains by having a sprint? It’s pretty good steel as is. I'm also loving the sprig as is. The edge is nice and thin, comfy handle that doesn't dictate hand position too much. I use mine at work as a glorified box cutter ...

I'm very happy with my M4 pm2. The natural g10 scales will look quite warn and different after a while. The upcoming one is also very tempting!
IMO you could go with any of the ones you listed as long as it's taken care of it'll do well.
