Less grinding.
Perhaps a CPM mule mold?
Doesn't the HIC Mule and C109 "S" use a process similar to this?

Re: Red & Black Holiday Sale!

Any idea how they price seconds? Seems weird the Maxamet and S110v manix 2s have a higher msrp than the Siren but are cheaper as seconds.

Re: Chasing Ghosts: The effect of edge aggression between steels.

Thanks for taking the time to test and share with us here. Very interesting to see the difference in Bess vs ELab numbers. Has anyone every run this type of test with 440c vs cast 440c to see if there really is a difference in aggression?

Thank you! This is the reason I'm having this problem. I'm looking into another sharpening method for certain knives I've got
The plates are held on with two sided tape so you could always pop one off and put a spacer under it.

Re: Sharpening Para 3s, I can't reach the very bottom of the edge! Any advice?

I've never had a problem sharpening the whole edge on a KME. Just park the side of the stone up against the plunge line. The KME uses normal stones that can reach. The WSPA has narrow plates set into a wide holder so the plate holder hits the plunge not allowing the whole edge to be sharpened. The ...

Also , you'd have to search this, but there is an amount below which you can sell personal property without reporting it as income. It applies to selling things that aren't business related. Yard sale income, for example, does not have to be reported below a certain level. I'd Google it for you, bu...

Nice scales. Where did you get them?
Looks like one of the many scales I uploaded to thingiverse for 3d printing.

Re: “Best” steels video with Larrin

I'm no metallurgist, but here's my 2 cents worth: I wouldn't worry too much about the bubbles being throughout the whole blade until I examined it more closely. If they are present in the bevel and/or along the spine, then I might relegate the knife to the pure-user category. Otherwise I'd ignore t...

Can't believe no one mentioned Spaceballs. Wasn't a box office hit like most movies mentioned but it's my favorite Sci-fi movie after the original Star Wars trilogy.

I wonder what tools he uses to grind his coupons exactly the same, as shown above. I read Larrin's first book, but don't recall reading how the coupons are ground and sharpened. All these coupons must slice like demons initially, with their .010 BTE, wow. I would like to own that very shape of a bl...

Re: Left or right-handed knife user?

I use my left hand for fine movements like writing, and my right for large movements like throwing a ball. So for normal cutting chores like food prep and cardboard boxes, it's lefty. I carry, open, and close righty however, because neural tumors in my left hand make it a little more difficult to m...

The well traveled Chaparral. It's been to 4 of the 5 Great Lakes with me. This time it's Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Crazy surfer in the background in ice cold water. It was my runner up calender picture.

Third times the charm right? This year I went with the Enuff 2, an amazingly ergonomic knife with plenty of blade length for most tasks. The picture was taken on the shore of Presque Isle on Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was the 4th year in a row I went to one of the Great Lak...

Re: Question for Qball owners

Hi Josh, Thanks for replying. Is this the website? Did you choose Nylon 12 or did the manufacturer suggest the material? https://www.xometry.com/ Yeah that's it. I chose nylon after the SLA resin cages kept failing. Just curious about your tuning: does yours have any side-to-side play after getting...
