Re: Holy Cow! Delica 204P rocks!

Really wish Sal & Co would make an Endura in 204p. I'd reach out to Knife Works and express your desire for them to expand their line of the Seki models in 204P. I already asked them for a Police in that configuration. I was told the owner keeps these cards close to his chest, so they can't say one...

Re: Holy Cow! Delica 204P rocks!

Is it your first 204P knife? It's a very, very good steel. You'll really enjoy using it. Yes, it is. It’ll get a daily workout since we have most things delivered these days. I carried a Military in 204P for a while and its one of the better stainless steels I've tried. Very good edge holding but n...

I must be boring, I'm #6 every time haha. My fingers aren't the longest so it takes some fiddling and more adjustments to get my finger into the Spydie hole to close it other ways. Definitely the fastest, most natural way for me.
I'm a #6 guy too. Only way that makes sense to me.

Thanks for the sacrifice and report!
I too have a hard time leaving an edge alone that won't slice phone book paper.

Re: Sharpmaker and S110v?

Thanks for all the input. A fairly dumb question on my part..... Not a "dumb question" at all! There is lots of internet lore espousing this idea. It's not surprising you had this thought. You've come to the right place though. There are lots of skilled experienced sharpeners here on the forum. I k...

Re: Would like suggestions on Spyderco's to look at next

Vivi's suggestion of a Manix XL is a good one. There are still (depending on your budget) BladeHQ Exclusives (M4 steel) available readily. Makes a super hard use secure beast of a knife!

Nice 27!
I've got a 4" Mod 28 Highway patrol. Nowhere near as nice a finish as yours but pinned and recessed and action is smooth as can be :)

I think you might really appreciate a Military.
If you can find a CF/ Ti s90v variant then you will have my favorite EDC.

Thanks Zuludelta (and everyone else who chimed in:) for the excellent review. This model was not on my radar at all but due to y'alls enthusiasm I just ordered one! Will have to see what I think once I get some cutting/carrying time with it.

No choils . A properly designed handle and finger guard is best.

Re: Stretched Stretch - continued from Straight spine thread

I prefer the SS Stretch to the Paramilitary 2 by a wide margin. Better ergos, better lock, more sensible blade stock. In VG10 it is a great knife; in Cruwear or K390 would be a world beater.

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

VG-10 would be great. Stain resistant and relatively tough. Easy to get very sharp.
I don't see many using their Ayoob to break down 400ft of cardboard!
154CM or better yet the CPM version would also be a very appropriate steel choice.

Re: Mirror polished edges - Which steels are better (and worst) for taking them?

I don't find ZDP rust prone at all but then my sweat is not nearly as manly as Vivi's! (Just kidding Vivi ;) I live in the desert southwest and have had very little rusting with ANY steel. I just wipe the blades dry after washing off gunk. I have a natural patina forming on K390, M4, 52100, and very...

Re: Mirror polished edges - Which steels are better (and worst) for taking them?

I predominately favor carbide rich tool steels and mostly finish in the 400 to 600 grit range. My sole exception to this is ZDP-189 as it seems to benefit from a highly refined mirror polish.
