VG-10 easy to sharpen and rust resistant. I live and work near the ocean and I'm not diligent about oiling my blades, So I like this steel.

thanks guys. I've got the spydie bite again and looking at these 2 knives. I saw the mike Janich dvd and that got me thinking about the Yojimbo, but I'm used to the stretch ergros and the Para 2 has that plus the compression lock is stronger from what I read. Spyderco makes it so hard with so many g...

yojimbo or para 2?

Debating on which knife to get the yojimo or para 2. I started carrying a 2nd folder, one for edc (dragonfly) and one for defense (stretch). I like the 3-1/2" size and looking at the yojimbo or para 2. need advice.

I have both knives. The stretch looks "strange" in terms of the endura, but it feels good in hand and opens fast and smooth. I carry the stretch more than the endura.

What is the benefit of a G-10 handle vs. a FRN handle? What situations will you need a G-10 handle vs. FRN?

I may be the minority but I always prefered the shorter blade and old style military clip tip down only. The improved ergos (no hump interfering with where my pinkie rests) is what won me over. Enough so that I plan on filing down the G10 on my old Digicam Para 1 to try and match the new handle. Re...

Comparing knives to a Delica & Endura?

Am I the only one that compares a folding knife against a delica or endura? Are these Spydies a standard on measure or am I just a Delica/Endra fan?

Paramilitary 2 blade length

Just wondering if the popularity of the paramilitary 2 was more the increase in blade length or the other features. Would you have bought the paramilitary 2 if they kept the blade length the same as the previous?

tonydahose wrote:you can use a dremel tool to do the entire mod but it would take awhile. i have an industrial size buffer at the firehouse. i grinded most of the steel off with that. then i used a dremel with some diamond bits to make the hook. check out harbor freight tools for the bits.
Thanks!
