Re: Am i just lucky with my super steels?

I have a fixed blade made of Niolox (not a Spyderco) - the very first time I used it I chipped the edge. Right in the main part of the belly that does the most chopping. I don't think I'll ever try to fix it, I'd spend forever on it and lose about a mm of blade. Serves me right for trying to split b...

Re: Help needed...

And so it was that young Albatross was found dead under a pile of 467,000 Spydercos. Witnesses report a fleet of Hercules transport planes flew in from all over the world, disgorging tons of quality cutlery from a height of 5,000 feet. One witness recorded Mr Albatross's last words for posterity: &q...

Re: New Dragonfly and Para 3....family photo

I only have one Dragonfly, the stainless steel version, and I keep telling myself I don't need an FRN one as well.
We'll see how long my resolves lasts!

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

You'd think a pocket clip would be one of the simplest things in the universe to design - it's just a crooked piece of metal! - but it's proved to be the Achilles heel on so many knives! I suppose it's always the last thing anyone thinks about in the design process, and it ends up getting rushed.

Re: Meerkat V-TOKU

Yes I didn't express myself very well there. Of course I was talking overall size to blade length ratio, which is just one of many factors. In the hand it is a lot more pleasant than the SpyFox, which is so narrow and tiny it's hard to hold, let alone control. The Meerkat is one of my absolute favou...

Actually, wrong. I chose the cheapest shipping method to Europe (supposedly without tracking) and still got a tracking number.

The guy in the vid says "This one has red FRN handles" (at 1 min.53 secs)
Isn't it G10?
Not that it matters that much.

Re: G10 UKPK officially makes a return! Heinnie Haynes Exclusive

To be honest, I don't care if it's a UKPK (though I don't mind it, either - I don't have one, yet) - If it's under 100 bucks, has any-colour-but-black G10, and is made anywhere outside China, I am probably going to be interested. I'm sure zillions of other people feel the same way! Other-than-black ...

An excellent improvement would be the inclusion of a free HAP40 Stretch just to get you started!
