Great job! :)

Wow El Gato, those are very nice things to say. Thank you very much.

Have a great day! :)

Re: Anyone Else Like Mules?

Oh wow that is beautiful. Would love to know the process of gluing the different materials together. Best one I've seen so far!!! Thank you very much kjd2121! I really appreciate the kindness. I'm sorry, I didn't take step by step pics this time but I'll be happy to describe the process... First of...

Re: Spyderco Roadie

I have 4 Roadies in my household now. I buy most of the #16 collector numbered Spyderco knives when they come out. The Roadie (because it comes in a bunch of colors) was a rare opportunity for me to get one of each for my two kids, my wife and myself all with the #16 on them at the same time. I put ...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2?? Talk me into it..

Although I've temporarily lost count, I own somewhere around 32-34 Spydercos. I have to say the Gayle Bradley 2 was the best knife for the $$ I've bought yet. The M4 blade is one of the toughest blades you can get, and among the "tough" blades M4 stays sharp for an amazingly long time. Th...

Re: Anyone Else Like Mules?

I love Mules. They're great light-weight hiking knives. They also work well in the kitchen. My favorite part is that they come with no handle and I can play with my own handle designs. In fact, it was a Mule that inspired me to make my first knife handle. About two weeks ago I built a new Mule 21 ha...

Re: Best hard use spydie folder?

I'd say GB2 now that GB1 is discontinued. The steel frame and the M4 blade are a tough as nails combination that is going to be hard to beat. My second choice is one that I haven't seen listed here...the Stretch 2 in ZDP-189 is one tough knife! Sal knows knives and he's seen 'em all....it shouldn't ...

Re: Hiker Knife

I spend a lot of time hiking and backpacking in a variety of environments throughout most of the western states mostly. I select the equipment I will use based on the specifics of the destination I plan to explore. Fairly often I head to places where I know I will not be processing wood with a knife...

Re: Hiking/camping/EDC knife?

Hi ZesT, There have been some really good recommendations here. I have a bunch of PM2s and a few Manix as well. Both great choices. I am a backpacker as well, and although I prefer to take a fixed blade along with a folder or sometimes 2 folders ('cause I'm a knife nut)....there are times that I go ...

Re: Mule Team 21

There's lots of places to get materials on-line. Sometimes when you want something specific you have to check a bunch of the sites to find it. Here's a few to get you started..... knifemaking.com which is also Jantz Supply, USAknifemaker.com, sheffield supply, onlinemetals.com, texasknife.com...the ...

Re: Mule Team 21

About 5 months ago I made my first knife handle for a Mule Team 21 out of green micarta and copper liners and posted it here in this thread. Since that time I have been working in my garage during evenings and weekends on all sorts of knife related projects. Last week, I decided to update the handle...

Re: Blade HQ visit, what to pick up?

The Techno at $191 is a bit over your budget but it's a great little knife. At about $140 the Gayle Bradley 2 folder is possibly the best knife for the $$ I've ever bought. The M4 blade and the hollow grind make it a great addition to the knives you've listed.

Re: Amsterdam Meet 2016 Report of Spyderco Prototypes

THANK YOU Spyderco for including a Peter Carey knife! Nice job fixing the thickness and the "pokeyness" that was so often complained about. I think my original Rubicon is beautiful but this new one looks like a better EDC. I can't wait! More Carey models would be great too...fingers crossed.

Hi Mike3398 I agree with everyone telling you to try it yourself. It's a good project to do in your garage. If you have trouble in the future, I'm willing to help you out. I've been in my shop every night after work for the past 4 months, working on my knife building skills. I've recently "tool...
