Can someone help educate me to what Flattening actually is? I'm reading this as I need to purchase some products to help sharpen my knives!

OD Micarta and either Cruwear or K390! After all the K390 hype, I'd love to try it!

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?
Maybe this a bad time, but what do you guys think of a green Micarta Cruwear Shaman, or maybe a green Micarta with another exotic steel? I could argue for a larger quantity. sal Sal, Yes to OD Micarta! And Either Cruwear or K390! Cruwear is my favorite steel so far, but I've been itching for K390! ...

Re: Reveal 3 Released!
Thank you sir! So are all places sold out of preorders for the Cruwear and Micarta Shaman????? I can't find one.... too slow! Any tips on where to go would be greatly appreciated! Re: So what's your top 3 favorite steels? and why?
Sal,
I only have S30V and Cruwear, but I would definitely take Cruwear all day long! It sharpens much easier for me, in my inexperienced sharpening ability and seems to hold it longer than S30V for me at least!

Re: Mantra 3 vs Sliverax which one to get?
I vote the Sliverax! It is literally my most carried knife. I carry it over my Manix 2 and PM2. The weight is crazy light, it has a longer blade than the Mantra 3 and the overall profile looks a lot better IMHO. And Paul Alexander, the designer, is an outstanding dude! I also love that I have the fi...

Re: Parata Finally
Paul, Thanks for the feedback! I'm eagerly awaiting mine to be shipped to my local dealer! I've never owned a back lock, just handled them at the stores, so this will somewhat be a first! It's good to have feedback that it will be able to be easily closed one handed once broke in, as this was my hop...

green canvas micarta in my green canvas pants https://i.imgur.com/1s6UNqVh.jpg Darby, That looks LEGIT!!!!! I was hoping for green canvas micarta for the Shaman sprint, but it looks like it's coming in tan/natural micarta. 1. Who made those scales for you? 2. Is it possible to RIT dye natural micar...

Re: Parata Finally
When looking at the stop lock realize it is not just a matter of pulling it up but you have to pull it forward as well. I did figure out how to close it one handed but it is not what I consider safe or practical, one handed opening however is a breeze. I am well pleased with the retail price I paid...

Re: Lightweight EDC fixed blade idea
I just want an ARK with a wharnie blade. I don't think I could handle having something as big as a Mule hanging around my neck unless I was camping or something. YES!!! I was actually thinking of a drop point blade with micarta. To mimic this knife: https://www.whiteriverknives.com/collections/cape...

Re: Ouroboros G10 polished and contoured
David, How well do you think this could be done to a PM2? Getting the contoured scales could solve my itch for the Shaman! :D Thanks! Hamilton You can definitely polish it but you may not be able to get as much grain to show through. You need to really contour it a good amount to get that much grai...

Re: Parata Finally
Well, I just don’t see the use of that knife. Can someone please explain? Looks neat, but... To have the first stop lock!! :D But it’s got some flat parts as well. Should be useful for my simple EDC tasks that I don’t need anything near what Spyderco offers, but I buy them because they are legit!! ...
