If it is an authentic P2, I wouldn't trade it as it's certainly a conversation piece.

If it's real it's certainly "weird". Everything is sterile including the clip. There also seems to be more space between the end of the clip and the end of the knife than normal. Haven't seen a fake compression lock yet though. Is it possibly a proto that somehow made it out?

I haven't been this giddy about a knife since my CPMD2 Para years a go, but the Southard is flat-out amazing. It's got a lot going for it and I have been very impressed by 204P. I don't find the blade too thick at all and it makes haste of anything I have cut with it. I am really enjoying the blade ...

While not nearly as pointy as the Para 2 or Military, I find that the Southard is more than capable of stabbing/puncturing tasks. This is a big reason I have taken to this knife. While I adore every PM I have and ever had, there are things I wouldn't do with them. With the Southard I am not the lea...

I for one am glad that the flipper is smooth. It does not need any sort of machining as it flips well and is easy on the finger. "Until now" I did not care for Ti, frame lock flippers but I think that the Southard is the best Spyderco to date.

I also like the brown. Got it on the Delica, P2 & Southard. I won't buy a black knife anymore. I have really liked "earthy" colors lately.

What a sweet knife indeed! I took my clip off and did a quick water bottle stonewash. I need some courser media, but I like it better than the shiny clip.

No it is not and the Sebs are such that the dollar ought to be based on them! I agree, $260 is getting up there, but $220 is sweet.

While it's "nearly" half the price of a large Sebenza, I'd challenge anyone who'd say it's nearly half the knife. I had to absolutely throw out my USA only snobbery as the Southard is the best feeling, smoothest, sturdiest Spydie I've owned.

Not overpriced

Yeah Yeah another Southard thread...

Wanted to give Spyderco kudos for such a well thought out design. It's the first of many RIL knives that I really like. Can't find a darn thing wrong with it. Grip is great, lockup perfect and F&F spot on. I also appreciate the shape as it fits against the back of the pocket making it almost unn...

I really like the dent as it is way more comfy to operate and a great reference point. I may have kept a couple more backlock Spydies if they had it.

If you are going to forgo the clip then hard to beat the Chap for the office. You could however get a Delica & a ladybug for the same price. Good thing is you can't possibly go wrong!

Excellent Idea and a very generous giveaway! My first was the Paramilitary in CPMD2 and still holds a special spot in the collection. It is the only modern folder I cannot or will not let go. My latest is the earth brown P2. It's a great knife, somewhat limited but I am not afraid to use this puppy!...

I've had 5 P2s and all smooth. The orange was a bit smoother than "regulars" and the brown flat out incredible.

Yeah, Para is a light knife already. I'm not sure I'd be too keen on the flex it might have with FRN type scales.

I've only had 2 XHP knives and while I am quite certain it is an excellent steel unless a person is benchmarking/testing I don't think there is a big difference for everyday use. If you aren't a heavy user I doubt you'd ever know the difference as S30V is such a proven, quality blade steel. But hey,...
