I've done a lot of manual regrinding. By that I mean pressing the primary bevel flat against the stone. Before that I used a 1X30 but my results were less consistent. I don't think the plastic was an issue. A lot of bearings are done that way. The issue was the smaller bearings against thin washers that caused indentation and a bumpy action.

I agree that the fuller needs to be lengthened. Wouldn't this be the first alt shape PM2 that isn't a dealer exclusive? Or is it exclusive to SMKW?

Manix 2 is ground thicker than it should be but you can say that about most production knives.

They were in stock at SMKW this morning for about an hour. Most drops have lasted about 10 minutes.

There were reports that Spyderco was asking dealers to place larger orders for Exclusives. So I would speculate that this Sprint is also a bigger run.

The addiction is real! Buying and selling are critical components for me but there's so much more.
It's not the worst obsession to have.

That looks great! I think I'm still more interested in the Lightweight in a different steel.

I've had much better results with the Atoma 140 than the DMT XX Coarse. The DMT wears out faster.

They should offer the Watu with other scales. I've seen the aftermarket wood scales so maybe something to those or micarta would be a good factory option.

I like a knife that is light for its size. Unless it's trying to be some overbuilt chunker.

I don't think it will be as popular in vg-10.

Better steel, then I'll regrind it.

I prefer the look of this Sprint. If it shows up in stock at Spyderco before the end of the month I might score one. Have to use a credit from a warranty claim by then.

Fair points. I would counter by saying that large folders don't sell as well. Expensive folders also don't sell well. Finally, making it a Sprint would improve sales because of the collectability factor/ FOMO.
