I too carried an Endura 4 for a while and have recently picked up my first Para 2. Notice I said my first Para 2 - more to follow. They really are two different types of knives with completley different feels to them. Not that one is better than the other just different. I still love the Endura. It ...

There's a reason scalpels don't have serrations. Yes, thank you for making my point. Scalpels with PE are used because they make a nice clean cut. A serrated blade may make a more ragged uneven cut and cause more nerve damage. Actually scapels are not use that much anymore. Many surgeries are done ...

Mainly carty PE but I do love to occasionally carry my SE Endura. I know that this will open a can of worms but I believe that a SE is better in a self defense situation. SE will tear through clothes/flesh better. Yeah, yeah never bring a knife to a gun fight.
Just my $0.02.

Spyderco could make a can opener and I would buy it. With so many crap products being made today a quality company like Spyderco has my business.

I am in full agreement with the OP. That is why i have not bought the black bladed Para2 or the camo P2 with the black blade yet... The newer digi slabs / black blades have black hardware except compression lock and liners. The lanyard tube is also black. Manufactured Nov of 2011 or KK http://i108....

I beat the crap out of this Byrd Hawkbill. Something about serrated blades that just says beat me, make me feel cheap. And they come back for more.

In PA if you are stopped my a PA State LEO and he runs your license plate he can also see if you have a concealed carry permit. Not sure if local LEOs have the same ability. I put both hands at 12:00 on the steering wheel and wait for him/her to ask for information. In most cases if you are respectf...

I'm saving up for a Stretch. I want to get it in ZDP189. I envision a laser beam slicing anything in it's path.

Laying around after having foot surgery on Friday. Feeling totally useless and looking for something to cut up I saw an extra large pizza box that would not fit into our kitchen trash can. Crutched on over and used my Para 2 and turned it into 30 small pieces of smelly cardboard. Now I feel better.

Tip up on all my Spydies. Only knives I carry tip down are Kershaw flippers. Just seems like a more natural movement.
