Any opinion and / or experience with the Ruger 762? I have always wanted an AR-10 platform, but never really narrowed down my choices. I have shot Bushmaster, RRA and S&W AR platforms in the past. I am partial to the feel of the RRA, but am not sure about their 7.62x51 platforms. All (construct...

Actually in CA where I live, we arent aloud to have the LCP, PF9 or the 3AT. I am able to score an LCP through a legal loophole that modifies it so the dealer can sell it. They only do a select few non-roster handguns so Ill take what I can get since many of the smaller handguns specially the 380's...

How about a Superleaf? They are discontinued but can still find them at KW I think! Compression lock and thick leaf-shaped blade with a very ergonomic handle. Something else to consider in the med/lg folder area. :)

Native 5(G10), any of the Sage series, or, if you want to go lighter a brown or black Native FRN version! Stretch-shaped and leaf-shaped blades are my favorite Spydercos. :D

From the pic you posted in the other thread, you have the new FFG Manix2! Does the clear cage bother you that much? If so, see if you can return .

Still, off topic: I'm picking up an LCP this week (black, maybe bi-tone if Im lucky)! Glock19 and XDM .45, my only two handguns are a little cumbersome sometimes especially during the summer. I agree that .380 isn't the best caliber out there but the pistols are so small they are literally "po...

I agree with the idea of getting the limited knife first! The frn Native is so light that it doesn't compare to the Sage 1 in this area! :)

Have you thought of Cocobolo? I absolutely love this wood in knife handles! I have a small Sebenza w/cocobolo inlays and a custom fixed blade knife w/cocobolo slabs contoured very similar to Stuart Ackerman's Serrata and they are beautiful! :)

No. That is not it! The knife didn't have a 3.5" blade. It was pictured with the Chaparral 1 and 2, if I am not mistaken? I think it might have been in the 2013 catalog, which I have misplaced! The mind is a terrible thing to lose! :D

Now i am seeing the 2014 Manix 2 is FFG but with black lock hardware. But mine is still the clear hardware doesnt make much sense to me Sounds like you have the older HG Manix2 which has been discontinued, but is obviously not out of stock! I would keep this knife and if you absolutely have to have...

I remember seeing a Chaparral tribute to Carpenter steel somewhere! What happened to this knife? Did I miss something or was it a private release to their employees?
