Re: Got a counterfeit Dragonfly Salt 2 for my birthday.

It's possible the seller is legit but someone returned the fake in place of the real deal and they resold the fake without knowing it. Sal stated in another thread that "Ships from and Sold by Amazon.com." are safe. This was not a 3rd party selling through Amazon. But there are others rev...

Re: Got a counterfeit Dragonfly Salt 2 for my birthday.

Oh...I also want to point out that this is the first Spyderco I got from Amazon that has the "Ships from and Sold by Amazon.com." (Which are the only ones I will buy) that did not have clear stickers on the ends of the box keeping it closed.

Re: Got a counterfeit Dragonfly Salt 2 for my birthday.

Really a bummer. I'm looking at my VG-10 and the SB d'fly's I have. It looks like the FRN handle is a Spyderco. However the other parts don't match. Does the Salt D'fly have screws on both sides of the handle? I don't have the salt buy my two have the pin head on the front side and screw heads on t...

Got a counterfeit Dragonfly Salt 2 for my birthday.

So the wife bought me a Dragonfly Salt 2 for my birthday from Amazon that stated "Ships from and Sold by Amazon.com." Here is the link at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00507AJ40/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I get it this afternoon and all the warning signs went off. ...

I am sold on the Pingo.

I can legally carry most folders, but decided to buy a Pingo. My family is from Denmark and they started immigrating here in the mid 1850's - 1930's. Even have a relative listed on a plaque at Ellis Island of a immigrant list. So the Danish designers were a plus, and I have never owned an Italian ma...

Re: Stretch Super Blue

I love my SB Stretch and it is in a 3-4 knife EDC rotation. Just know that with a lot of use, the blade will not be pretty.....BUT, imho SB is fantastic.

Re: Comparable Brands

I remember back when VG-10 was the best steel I had, and I considered it good. Now I consider it trash. Soon you'll see what I'm talking about. Just wait a few months VG10 is trash? I am not going to entertain such an absurd statement with any more words than this. It is one of the most well rounde...

Re: What makes the Southard better than almost any other kni

I really want to buy one, but I've been disappointed by Spyderco titanium frame locks before. I can't stand sticky locks. My Chokwe has it bad, and my Techno has it a tiny bit. Can anybody report flipping it TONS with no stickiness in the lock? I love the aesthetics of this design, but really wish ...

Re: What makes the Southard better than almost any other kni

Interesting..... I got a Southard a month or so ago, and at first, I was a bit Meh about it. Most of my original opinion had to do with the actual cost and perceived value. The cost seemed excessive compared to other knives in my collection. But after EDC'ing, it is starting to be one of my favorite...

As long as the country that makes the Spyderco's are friends of the US, I am fine with it. I spent a month in Japan and never met such friendly and helpful people.

Re: Comparable Brands

I carry Spydercos most of the time, but do carry a CS American Lawman, Kershaw Rake and composite Leek. The American Lawman is a tough knife and while only AUS-8A  is easy to sharpen and holds a daily edge. The Kershaw Rake, imho is a very under appreciated knife. D2 edge, built like a tan...

I was born in Golden, CO but have lived in Los Angeles since I was six. I visit family there once a year and my brother lives five minutes from Spyderco. Great people.

Honey, I shrunk my Southard. What I have here is a Spyderco Southard which I sent to Bower Bladeworks . I have to start out by saying he did a phenomenal job. Without affecting the amazing fit & finish that comes out of Spyderco's Taichung plant he was able to make the knife into something that...

While Frog Lube is non toxic, it adds a nasty taste to food. I do not lube my H1 blades, and if I lube my other knifes, I now use mineral oil.
