I enjoy fixed blades more than folders … handled this little gem at the SFO … and very much wanted to add the drop point to my stash. Unfortunately place of manufacture is counter to my collecting rule and my general spending rule. And, the steel isn’t much of a draw either. This one deserves better...

Since Spyderco is the only consumer of SPY-27, I’m guessing they can’t get enough of it to put it as the default steel on knives that sell in such quantities. That said I’d like to see it on more models. How much would it take to achieve economy of scale? I mean the more you get the less it costs…....

I’d like to see Spyderco classics and Spy27 come together.

Does anyone know the hardness for the BD1N? I picked up a UKPK BD1N when it first came out, wondering if the heat treat will be the same? Hope they go a little harder.

Been away from this for a while… but,

Delica was offered as a sprint in HAP40 which I believe to be equivalent parallel with rex45.

Was done in burnt orange …. Wharncliffe and PE.
