Re: Anyone use a Straight razor/Artist Club razor/Shavette razor?

For a safety razor, I'd recommend Henson . How does it compare to an Edwin Jagger DE89 and Muhle 89 versions? I generally prefer the Fatip safety razor though. On a related note, what blades do you prefer the most? I notice a good amount of variation with a safety razor when I use different DE blad...

How do I see what is waiting for moderation?

I get the need to screen spammers and their bots and minions. Is there a way for me to monitor what I submitted to be posted: I'm getting notifications of thread updates acknowledging a post was made but, it never shows up, at least it hasn't yet. Can I query or look somewhere I missed to see what I...

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

As a sport, I guess I'm not in the target demographic. A heavy kick to the head by a human or a horse is not good for anyone's health. Is the reason for so many head kicks the body armor preventing breaking ribs and damaging internal organs with body kicks? Those head kicks would likely puncture a l...

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

As someone who had limited experience in College with Aikido, where I live there is nothing beyond basic grade school Karate classes around me within a reasonable (~60 miles each way) driving distance.

Where to find a Magnacut Mule?

It looks like I missed the run of Magnacut Mules and the reports I have said it sold out fast. I know the Buck Knives "stealth" run of 110's sold 1,000 in ~5 hours. Is there any chance of me getting a Magnacut Mule without going to the scalpers' markets? Or put another way, for $200 or mor...

Re: Sprint Run Super Blue Dragonfly

Super Blue and its cousins to me belong on a kitchen knife in today's world. There are simply better steels IMHO for a knife like this whether classic carbons or stainless!

https://cdn.brandfolder.io/YLOLU61B/as/bj26w48nb58krtjqcpmnts/FB50GPOD_Both.png?width=800 this looks like it could be a really great edc fixed blade. i'm curious about the plunge grind and the really narrow portion where the handle meets the blade, but i'll probably still try it out. i like this bl...

I too am intrigued. Plunge line is not visually appealing but I am a sucker for sheepsfoot- this looks more that style than drop to me
Sheepsfoot, Wharncliffe, and Lambsfoot profiles all have their place in my carry options.

I'd be all over a Spyderco Lambsfoot option in the Dragonfly size!

Re: I may Have Gotten Scammed….

This is what PayPal is for. PayPal for me has been a mixed experience in the past. Also worth noting, the OP is in Canada and used a Canadian payment service. Normally, if someone has a good 'history' on the forum in question and any previous trading actions, you have a good indication of the 'trus...

Re: I may Have Gotten Scammed….

Not sure what happened to my previous post in this thread. E-payments are convenient but, PayPal and others haven't really done much for me with disputes in the past. Basically, it seems like they mainly work to keep their commission and don't do much to settle disputes if both parties don't come to...

Re: I may Have Gotten Scammed….

Hard to know what happened with no communication so soon after the money was sent. Could be a scam or, just a family issue. I know I have had a couple of times when something unexpected came up. Can't help you much in Canada but, I know PayPal is pretty worthless with transactions like this. If the ...

Mixed feelings about the handle color personally but, I can see one of these headed my way when they become available.

Re: Availability of Magnacut knives?

Apparently that's recently been solved the Native 5 Salt is now in production. It looks SE was first, so I'd expect PE to be coming soon. Spyderco also added MagnaCut PE and SE blade versions of the non-locking UK Pen Knife to the 2023 product catalog. I'm sure those will be out this year once they...

Re: Availability of Magnacut knives?

In stock: https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C41YL5/Native-reg-5-Salt-reg-/1162 Thanks! Are these available in a plain edge too or, just the serrated edge? I typically sharpen at a coarser finish for knives than this for a 'toothy' bite so I keep the plain edge cutting potential on things tha...

Availability of Magnacut knives?

I have been looking for a Magnacut knife and see lots of postings for the Salt and talk of the Paramilitary but, nothing is in stock. The Syperco Mule seems to be a very limited run for collectors so, it doesn't seem to be available either. What does production of Magnacut Spyderco knives look like ...
