Re: Self defense with new releases
Dude, get a gun small enough to commit to carrying it all the time. Problem solved. A gun is the answer you seek. I love Spyderco exclusively but I generally buy smallishish knives to not take up more room than a gun would need. You need to take advantage of living in a state that allows CCW. This....

Re: Shipping of internal parts
I have several Japanese models, but most are Golden knives. The only knives I have taken apart are Manix 2, Para 2, and Para 3. I would only be interested in buying a set of replacement screws and washers for those models as it relates to your question. For example, I kind of like the stainless scre...

Re: Taking apart knives
Other manufacturers say that taking their knives apart is ok. Maybe they are easy to disassemble. I have taken apart numerous pm2s, para 3s, and manix knives. All of which were beyond easy to reassemble. Oh well. Never tried any of my other Spyderco, but I also didn't have them full of mud l, dirt, ...

Re: Loctite won’t cure on pivot screws
Oh it holds pretty good. The pivot screw on my DLT PM2 had so much blue loctite on it that I thought it was red. I had to heat it up with a soldering iron to get it to budge. Even then, I had to swap the other pivot screw out for the one that goes behind the clip because I almost stripped the head o...

Re: Taking apart knives
It sounds like the start of the problem (other than the obvious disassembly by someone who is incompetent) is the dealers blindly accepting returned items without inspecting them. Wouldn't it be considered theft to return an item for a full refund that was used? Pretty sure theft would be considered...

I used my CS s30v delica to open the box that my bbs p3 m390 was in. Now I have the bbs in my pocket.

Re: My modest collection
I feel like I have hit the end of my collection too. Now if I get another knife I usually sell one off to pay for it. I have all kinds of different steels and I realize that they all do the same thing, which is cut, so I have really started second guessing buying any more knives. Cool post.

Re: P3 S90V CF
Additionally, I refuse to give any business to BBS. I've seen a couple of comments about BBS. As a newbie in the knife world, what is so bad about them? Their prices. For example, the PM2 that is blue and M390 was $189.95 + $14.95 shipping, plus (if you live in CA) 10% sales tax. DLT had a red PM2 ...

Re: My first PM2
I would buy the s30v one, personally. I have put mine through so much I am actually surprised it isn't broken. I have a bunch of these in different steels, but the s30v was my first one. Plus, if I break it, I can replace it. It is also easy to sharpen, unlike the s110v one.

Do you find Spyderco Knifes are addictive? That moment you come to realization that your #knifeaddiction has taken complete control of your life. Sal, thank you, I hope you find enjoyment in this photo enough to let that stashed CPM_S125V go to someone (ME) that will ride all the way out with...

Re: Paramilitary 2 52100 CF w/patina
The action on mine was better after I took it apart. It was starting to rust near the pivot so forcing the patina on it I believe will help prevent that now. I soaked mine for 4 hours in some lime , mustard, vinegar combination that smelled horrible. :)

Re: Product suggestion: wire clip assortment pack
I must be in the huge minority that do not like the wire clip. I wish I could attach the standard clip to my caly. The standard pm2/3 , manix, etc clip is my favorite of any knife I own. Maybe I am just odd.

At 14 I had multiple shotguns, a 22, and 10 or so sak knives. Still have all of them. It depends on where you live and how comfortable you are.

Re: P3 S90V CF
Buy the m390 p3 from them, I am in line for that too. I feel like that one is a good buy. But I will not pay MSRP for a knife that I don't NEED.kooldood420 wrote:i guess...i can understand long d/c models etc but cmon for a sprint that just released?
thats definitely price gouging
