Re: Ok, what did you see in the new catalogue that you need?

I'm interested in the Ti/Elmax Squeak and would love to see the deep carry, hourglass clip that's on the Janisong, carried over to other models.

Re: Kitchen Knives

Hi 1623, The knives are the same shape as the earlier version. As Deacon mentioned, the plastic handle is harder and stiffer, but won't suiffer the "stickiness" that some of the earlier models seemed to develop. This is a transition series, though it may take a few years to make the adjus...

Re: Kitchen Knives

I seem to remember reading of a change in the plastic of the handle, but I could be wrong. I bought a black PE and Blue SE of the K04, and they're easily our most used kitchen knives and have been since the day I bought them. I'll definitely be in for a set of the K05 and a Santoku. True. Assuming ...

Great to hear, especially on the Santoku!

Sal, have there been design or material changes to the K05 from the K04 models, other than color?

Re: What are you listening to?

Saw Living Colour Saturday night at a small, 225 seat club and they were absolutely phenomenal! Great set with songs from every album, two new ones that were killer and a cover of Cream's, Sunshine of Your Love. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn318/603kid/IMG_0145_zps5fe2da9b.jpg http://i307.pho...

Re: Star Wars - The Force Awakens

I saw Episode IV when I was 5 years old, at a drive in no less. I'm 42 now and still, each and every time I hear the theme music, the hair on my neck stands up. I'm really looking forward to this movie, but what has me totally jazzed, is that I can take my son to see a Star Wars film in the theaters...

Re: Nano oil 85w is the best IMO

Have you guys found that dismantling the knife to apply Nano-Oil yields the best results, or can it simply be dropped in? Diamond Lube for instance, recommends working their product in with the applicator for ideal results. I've been using Tuf-Glide, but have really noticed lately that even after it...

Re: What are you listening to?

Any time. I enjoy new music as well and always try to take it in with an open mind. You're comment about Metal sums it all up: Often, the passage of time turns a once frowned upon media into one that is praised for its originality and brilliance, much like paintings and other art forms. With regard ...

Re: What are you listening to?

HIETkfRjxAs Can I ask you why you like this music? What genre is this actually? I have never understood why people like those "aggressive" kinds of music. Maybe you can tell me. When I listen to this music I feel kind of disturbed. Happy to discuss, my friend. I listen to Hardc...

Also, how do I embed a You Tube vid with the button in the editor since directly pasting the embed code no longer works?

I really enjoy VG10 as well and it quickly became one of my favorite Steels early on. Agreeing with Paul on all his reasons for liking it, I'll add that I also find it quite aesthetically pleasing.

Re: What makes a knife your "FAVORITE"?

The Sage 1 is without a doubt my favorite knife...it's simply a joy to carry and use. For me, everything is there: size and weight, ergonomics, great materials, liner lock and it's classy enough to carry with a suit if need be. One other model comes close and if the Caly 3.5 wasn't a mid-lock, my an...

I bought both the UF and Diamond rods and feel that having them makes the Sharpmaker a nice, complete kit. I use the UF rods each time I sharpen; usually 10 to 15 light passes per side to refine the edge. They polish very nicely as well, not to mention that the sound and tactile feedback they produc...
