+1 on everything gldfshkpr said!
I've been in awe of how well the D2 para suits my needs from the first day I bought it. This very rarely ever leaves my side. This too is my perfect folder.
I'll look forward to seeing what future developments Sal has in mind for this model...

Thanks Sal!

Jeremy.

C'mon guy's there is a huge difference between the jimping in the original pic and JD's pic. While that style of jimping might not always be finished to the same level as we are now used to. The jimping in Mb cooks pic looks like a complete hack job. P.s here's a pic of the Chinook's jimping, I know...

The only knife I have with that style of jimping is my chinook III and that is flawless, perhaps someone could post what the "para's" jimping is supposed to look like.

All factory seconds are marked with a notch, usually on the blade tang, this link should help explain more...http://paulberetta.com/... scroll down to Spyderco "101" this should answer your question.

That definitely looks messed up, I wonder if someones tried to grind out a "seconds notch" and pass it off as new. I doubt it left the factory like that.

I do like the orange G10 however I'm really not fussed about what colour my knives are, all I know is that I will be lining up for any future blade steel variations planned for the Paramilitary. Would be nice if the Para's followed the Millie's lead with the sprint runs......

Easy one hand closing is one of the main reasons this knife gets so much EDC time for me. That's one feature that pretty much dictates what I carry at work.
No other knife (even my other Spydie's) have been near my pockets since purchasing the FGD2 Para.

As far as I'm concerned this G10 development has got to be a good thing. With G10 scales people will actually use it, instead of hiding it away in their safe's wrapped in bubble wrap, never to be seen again. Understandably some people might be concerned about the G10 scales compromising the Chinese'...

Good on ya Joe, I seem to be quickly accruing my fair share of Spydercos. The taitor in my pants is a BM grip which has been in my EDC rotation for a few years now...This old girl has had a real hard life, and will probably soon spend its retirement as garden knife for the mrs. It will be replaced b...

For larger folders, particularly liner locks I prefer Tip down, purely for safety reasons.

I bought the FG D2 ( FACTORY 2ND ) recently for work EDC duties. Being a factory second I expected there to be some flaws. Apart from a black mark on the G10 and a minuscule nick in the steel behind the thumb ramp, the only real problem was a threaded screw in the pocket clip. Chasing the screw's th...
