The perfect folder is the one you are the most used to because it suits you best. If not, then it's not your perfect folder :p

For an all-around folder the Native is the smallest one I'm really comfortable with (and I actually like it very much). Smaller ones (three-finger grip) need to have some kind of lanyard attached: the Dragonfly is an excellent Little Big Knife (maybe the best there is) but I'll never buy a Chaparral...

I would be very impressed if you could get 20 people to agree on a model, color, and steel. Picking the "right" model would be the trickiest part: I know that if I like a model I would be open to all sorts of variations (colour, handle material, steel)... but if I don't particularly like ...

Isn't there already only one liner on the Centofante?

I did that a couple of times but ended up selling the backup knives eventually: tastes evolve and new knives keep being introduced .

I could see myself buying a few variations of my favourite models, though.

The first one would have to be the Native, my favourite all-around mid-sized folder : I love the ergonomics and there's not much I can't do with it (I generally use fixed blades when I need anything longer and I try to avoid folders for food prep). As for the second one, the Endura would probably be...

I quite like CTS-XHP as an all-around steel: no real weakness and so much to like. VG10 is still fine though.

Uncoated lock bar makes a huge difference in the looks on this one imo.

It sure does, and I like it much better than the black version. Now I'm definitely sure to buy one... whenever it comes.

A Native with the Q-Ball lock. Or a Manbug with a Jester-like blade (Manster? Jestbug?).

I bought two at the same time: a Centofante 3 and a SS Jester.

Native and Dragonfly for me, but I'll probably try a Manix at some point.

I thought it would be worse, to be honest. There's no knife I'm really sorry to see discontinued as in previous years. Maybe I'll get a One-Eyed Jack, if the price is right...

The thing I like about clips? They're removable...

I understand why they are popular, but for me a clip just ruins the ergonomics and the design of a knife.

The Pacific Salt is a very popular knife, but for some reason the Salt and the Atlantic Salt don't receive as much attention.
