Re: 2015 Delica Sprint Run
Excited for this. Think any of these will ever see full line of g10 handles, or remain FRN? There was a run of g10 delica, Endura, and dragonflys in foliage green a while ago. The dragonfly stuck around though Oh OK I've seen the dragonfly (apparently because you say it stuck around). Was not aware...

Re: My newest member to the Spydie family.
Does this forum have a classifieds section that I just have not found??? What is proper procedure for resale here? No. Buying/Selling/Trading is prohibited on this Forum. My main source for discontinued Spydies is Ebay, and others will use BF or CPF or USN or any number of other forums. There is su...

Re: My newest member to the Spydie family.
Wow, well sounds like I've been slacking and need to find a Dodo! Maybe this is like sacrilege to some, but has anyone ever seen a Dodo with a reprofiled blade into a Wharncliffe? I could see myself using one like that often. Nice! Did you go the BBS route? No, I bought it from a fellow forumite :) ...

Re: New to me yojimob 2
I don't regard a production knife as a collectible. VERY nice work there and gotta respect someone with the knowhow and proper tools putting their own touch on their items. But isn't the above statement a little generalized. It's almost like saying a '68 copo camaro isn't collectable because it cam...

Re: Incomplete or inconsistent jimping depth?
Knock-off of what was essentially a Sprint Run is unlikely. More likely just a minor imperfection that slipped past QC. If you consider it a defect, you could send it back to Spyderco for evaluation. Just be sure to include a $5 check for return postage in case they do not consider it to be one. As...

Re: Incomplete or inconsistent jimping depth?
Thanks for posting a picture. That is not a factory second--my bad. At first I thought you might be mistaking the marking notch for seconds as a messed up jimping. Your notch is definitely not a second notch, as you noted. It doesn't look too bad, and unless it really bothers you, I wouldn't worry ...

Incomplete or inconsistent jimping depth?
Hi, I've got a Caly 3 Super Blue and just noticed it has one jimp on the spine at the base of the blade next to back lock when opened that isn't finished across the spine. It starts out same depth as rest of jimping but gets shallower as it crosses the spine. Doesn't bother me a lot since this will ...

Re: New Guy
Welcome to the Forum, Sherman! Very nice photos and collection! I too am a big Hitachi Super Blue fan! I just picked up this same Caly as in your photo, but was a little disappointed to see an imperfection on my spine jimping. Do you have any closer photos of the jimping on yours by chance? It does...

Re: My favorite knife in the world
I just picked up a factory second Kahr in dk blue just to see how I'd like it (hard to justify higher cost for shorter blade of same material IMO). So far I do like it but like mentioned above, it would be much nicer IMO if it were ffg. Put an old scratched up black clip on it I had from an old deli...

This forum is really going to break my bank account.
I have a Techno that I love, and really didn't give the Bowie much consideration.... Until now. I want one!

A SuperBlue grey FRN Jester to supplement my Delica/Stretch/etc. would be PRIMO!
I've never been fortunate enough to handle a Lum Tanto yet... but I'd like to see what all the above buzz is about.

I'm new to the forums, but doesn't it seem anywhere there is an option for ParaMilitary 2, it will always get most popularity votes???
I voted SuperLeaf.
Wish there was option for another Breeden Rescue!

Re: My ode to the Dice
^ This looks like my kind of ideal! Should bang out a few more of those for resale! Man, now I've got to add a dice to my list of wants.... it never ends. Already have a Techno like others have mentioned above, but I Love flippers! I am hoping BBS does a run of the Dice with that blue G-10 and CTS-2...

Re: Your favorite Spyderco at the table?
Interesting thread. Can't say I do use my folders often for food prep, other than for when camping/backpacking and other improvised situations. I've never felt the need to pull any of mine out when eating a regular meal, but if I did I think I'd be using a fixed blade since there's not much reason f...

Re: We've all got grey knives. So let's see 'em!
Did Spyderco ever do a Stretch Super Blue in grey G10? Not in G10 only FRN Sorry, I should have left out "Super Blue", I typed that unconciously on my mind. I have the one with grey FRN. Did they do any other runs (regardless of metal) with G10 handle on a Stretch? I've seen CF, but no G1...
