Re: Nirvana RE-incarnated

Man, this is beautiful. Well done there Doc. If all the Nirvanas looked like that, I'd still have mine.

Re: Sunday Poll - Should S30V be phased out?

If I could snap my fingers and replace every ounce of S30V with S35VN or XHP, I'd do it in a heartbeat. S30V is just no fun to sharpen. But I'm not going to pay very much more for the privilege.

Re: The K2 Thread

Yes, I did grind it myself, and I wouldn't do it again. I totally underestimated how difficult 10v would be to grind. That took me almost 4 hours and $30 in belts. I should have sent it to a pro. I don't know how Spyderco can offer these types of steels at this price point. You emboldened me to try...

Re: The Cloners want reviews

Sometimes I wonder about some of the new members that pop up here asking if their knife is real or not, if those are cloners asking us to point out all the details they could improve on. I think you might be onto something. "Oh man, that's a terrible knockoff right there. The real ones all hav...

Re: The K2 Thread

I've found that using a bit of Electrician's Anti-Ox compound or even drawing on the blade tang with a thick layer of Sharpie permanent marker can help to minimize stick without having to disassemble the knife. Hey Nick, while I am not a fan of modding or markers or compounds to make a knife work f...

For $400, you can't do much better than a Slysz Bowie and a Native 5 in S35VN.

If I made money from making people spend money, I'd be a rich man! Alas, poverty loves company. :D

Re: The Cloners want reviews

Unfortunately, there are already people giving these scum product reviews on youtube. I'm glad to see that your morals are way above theres'. I know the temptation (reviewing gets expensive, and free knives to review sounds great!), but even putting aside the major ethical issue of stolen designs, ...

I gotta say Nick, love your channel, your channel convinced me to save for the slysz bowie.
Apologies to your wallet, but I'm thrilled you ended up with the Slysz. What a knife. Kind words appreciated!

Re: PM3, any new?

This is the best thing I've heard all day. I'm wondering if this smaller PM2 might have a chance at knocking the Delica out of my "very best EDC knife" slot. Thanks, Sal, for the update!

The Cloners want reviews

Hi there. Just got an email from a LightTake Representative ("Joyce Luo") wanting to send me a Knockoff PM2 for review on my YouTube Channel. http://www.lightake.com/p/C81-Folding-Blade-Knife-Camping-Outdoor-Knife-Hunting-Knife-Survival-Tactical-Knife-Black-White_2082198.html http://i.imgu...
