Pachucks, I thought so too until I started checking more deeply. I couldn't find anyone on the net who had a VG10 version. Then I called SFO and they said they had none and didn't expect any for some time. (They did, however say that they thought the new steel would eventually become available.) But...

Joe, Thanks for an intelligent summation that puts things in perspective. There was and may still be an interesting discussion on the Blade Forums on S30V and whether certain makers are developing the full potential of the material at 58-59 RC for folding knives. For this discussion, I find it inter...

This is exactly why some of us would like a King Harpy, so to speak - a 4" blade Harpy with a G10 lock-back handle. What a rugged, useful handful of knife that would be! (not to mention as an emergency defensive tool).

Where has the VG10 Civvie Gone?

We were told the VG10 Civvie would be available shortly after the first of the year. However, none of the dealers seem to have one and even the factory store only lists the ATS55 version. Is the VG10 version still coming? I so, when? If not, why not, and is S30V or another new generation steel in th...

Why ask to be spoon-fed when you can look it up yourself? Just click on Edge-u-cation and you'll find plenty of info on materials, including steel charts. < img src=http://kraziekurtis.50megs.com/samurai.gif = >

Huge advantage to holes and lockbacks. Holes are not only asthetically more pleasing, they do not catch on clothing and are ambidextrious. A well-made lockback is inherently stronger than a similar quality liner lock. So if you are attached to your fingers and want to keep them attached to you, your...

<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s are terrific values; I don't mind scratching up my edc knife at the price. High-end factory knives like sebenzas are beautiful pieces. I have one or two, but they don't get carried much except for special occasions. I also ha...

EZ,

I'm having the same problem. Terry, if you find one for him, see if it has a twin. I've spent a fair amount of time with no luck.

Nice dream, though. It sure would make a dandy concealed carry fixed blade. I'd buy one in a flash. Hey, Sal, how about it??

< img src=http://kraziekurtis.50megs.com/samurai.gif = > Okay, it seems to be working again. Pachucks, I assume you're not talking about the blade, whose design has NOT changed. I do like ATS-55 better than the old G-2, and perhaps VG-10 or, better yet, S30V would give us a tough, sharp blade with e...

Unusual Police

One of the first <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I picked up years ago was a SE black police model with a "Desert Eagle" logo. It's a mean-looking mutha, but I hardly carried it. (95% new). I wonder now if there were a series of such police knives ...

I'm carrying a Millie the last few months as my EDC and I love it. It's a great knife, particularly the PE version, although that depends on what you really use it for.

For a real working knife for my purposes, the PE wins hands down. It holds and takes a dandy edge and is easy to sharpen (a rare combination.) It's a lot more sheeple friendly, it slices cardboard and trims grapevines, opens letters, digs out splinters...it's a great EDC. But I touch it up on a stro...

VG-10 Civvie

I guess these are supposedly out, but every source I've seen only has the ATS-55 bladed version available. Does anyone know of a source for the VG-10 Civvie? By the way, is ATS-55 a better choice for this knife anyway? <img src="http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb/bc/toys/samurai2.gif?bcDo_...

You folks are a bunch of masochists. Here in Santa Cruz, California, it's either centrally heated or air-conditioned outside all year long. Great beach weather today. :D <img src="http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb/bc/toys/samurai2.gif?bcDo_58A88UxWudf"border=0> Edited by - Blade Sant...
