Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
... I felt impregnable... Always carry a Spyderco Native Chief when conducting espionage operations. You life may depend on the knife that you carry. So, is that CAN, or CAN NOT, get pregnant? ;-) Me: Pac Salt. Cut some pepperoni earlier, then a ba-nay-nay, cucumber, and cilantro to go into lunch. ...

Re: "sharpener's steels"
Vg10, h1, s30v, cruwear and let us not forget aus8 and bd1n ! Those 2 are such a joy and I don’t think anyone has mentioned it yet. Did not mention it in this thread indeed, but in several others already: For me BD1N has probably the best "ease of sharpening /edge holding -ratio" I have p...

Re: Loctite vs Not?
I use loctite. I don't "take knives apart"; but I do check the screws, and if they are loose (which I have found numerous times) I remove them (one at a time), apply a little loctite, and re-install. I have had screws get loose. I think I've even lost a screw or two (pun not intended, lol)...

Re: DLT Cruwear Endela
Is it possible to strip the TiCN coating off? From what I’ve read from manufacturing sites this type of coating is good safe and even used in medical implants but I worry about bits flaking off. I don’t use my knives a whole lot for food but with 3 little kids now I’ve started to cut up food while ...

Re: DLT Cruwear Endela
First time poster here but very interested in this Endela. How does the cruwear feel? I heard the delica they released before had a bad heat treat. I have two of these (DLT Green/Black Endelas), and have been carrying the first since I got it toward the end of February (so about two months now). To...

Hey Gernot/Wartstein, (and others who'd be interested too) 51 grams / 1.798 ounces (lighter than a Bugout) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50989681762_6577687ba2_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50988870013_31f7c41b4a_k.jpg Finally got the "Hyker" model :-) I'm pretty happy a...

Best I've found is the S110V blue FRN UKPK, with a black wire clip. Photo for illustration, I have a S110V, and BD1N DropPoint UKPKs, both with silver wire clips. I'd love to put black ones on them both. If you don't mind, could you share where you got (or where I could get) black wire clips for th...

Re: Temporal Edge Retention
Here is my hypothesis. I don't believe it possible for the shape of an apex to change sitting idly over time. 1. you sharpened the chaparral very well, either by luck, or b/c XHP is easy to sharpen and propely debur. 2. on another knife, you left a small burr, but the burr was straight so the knife...

Kentucky is weird :tonque-out https://i.imgur.com/u8FV41h.jpg Trying to take a pic of lightning and was really confused when I scrolled and this showed up. We were under a tornado warning and after seeing this pick, thought, those sirens were, perhaps, air raid.... :zany that's pretty cool u.w.

Re: Knife cargo shorts
Board-shorts have cargo pockets... So they're "cargo shorts" right? I rock some nylon board-shorts for most, if not all of my bicycling time. I keep a Spyderco clipped into the RH cargo pocket (DLT Endela for the past few weeks now, but has been PacSalt, Salt, Endura, Delica & Stretch ...

Go back now, they put more up on the website. Edit - Never mind. They are gone again. lol... yeah, I have checked back a few times over the hours in hopes there might be a few to pop up and I would be lucky enough to get one of them. No such luck. Says "out of stock", and "UNAVAILABL...
