I was thinking the other day, the price of Cree based LED torches on EBAY has crashed the last 3 months or so. You can get silly good deals from China but its a lottery as to whether you get something that actually works, has O rings in place or is made correctly. On the other hand you get companies...

Not really noticed any specific issues regarding scratches.

It likes to rust a little bit but then its a great super budget steel and holds a pretty good edge. So in that regard, I have no complaints.

We all certainly appreciate the time, money and effort put in Ed! As far as I know the only difference in any folder and a fixed blade is the joint. How well the joint and/or lock holds up is what makes a folder tough or not. Other than that any folder can cut anything that a knife is supposed to cut but if you can twist (a little bit) a folder while cutting wood...

I own a few custom knives. I have one in front of me that has a value of about $1500. Or 7 Spyderco knives of good quality. Customs are great, hand made, fit and finish is excellent. However...
