Re: 52100 Native Chief?

I’d be happy if more were made in 52100 steel, that way I could easily avoid spending money on knives.

Doc Dan is on a better track, IMO.

Re: CPM Cruwear chipping?

This is far from the first report of a crumbling factory edge that anyone who’s been around for a few years has seen, so let’s try to keep an open mind.

OP, call Spyderco and discuss with them. They will likely ask you to send it in for inspection.

Re: Flashlights

The Trustfire Mini-x is tiny powerhouse. So far I’m pleased with my purchase. I’ll have to put it in rotation with my SF Sidekick and gets some real use out of it. That’ll test the lockout feature as well. The red light is nice, bright, and doesn’t blast your night vision. Two minor complaints, the ...

Re: yojimbo trainers

I always find it...curious that so few trainers are available for knives designed for SD. I'll leave it at that. did i say something i'm not supposed to say? or is there just not enough demand for this product? i thought there would be more interaction on this thread... No! I’m agreeing with you. I...

Re: product idea: Spyderco folding wood saw

Just throwing it out there....if we handled everything with the mentality of "why would I buy that when this exists" there is a very good chance this forum wouldn't exist and we wouldn't be knife enthusiasts since there is usually a better tool for any job a pocket knife can be used for. ...

Re: Siren vertical lock play

Hi, welcome aboard. I would say a call to Spyderco to discuss is warranted. My CQI replacement has been excellent, but what you describe sounds just like the one I sent back to be replaced. It's possible someone swapped their pre-CQI into a box and sold it on.

Re: This is a Reconnaissance Mission

I purchased a second from ACK and it is great. Fires with authority, comfortable handle that should fit most hands well, and beefy without entering the absurd level some knives have. My only concern is trying purchase backup replacement springs. The website has not updated in months. JR, What does ...

I voted ‘no’, sorry. It’s been tried twice and never took off. It’s better for Spyderco to focus on the next top seller instead of playing necromancer to dead designs.

Re: Flashlights

I ordered a Trustfire Mini-X as well. From what I read, the lock out works better than the one on the Fenix. I'll leave my brief thoughts on it after I receive it.

The Wuben X-3 doesn't ship until June/July.

Re: Spyderco hardware origin.

Also valid questions. Of course, outside of contractual requirements, no one need answer them. That said, with money getting tighter and tighter, some people are getting much more selective as to where their patronage goes. Spyderco has always sourced internationally & domestically, so I cannot ...
