Re: Looking for suggestions for a Karahawk trainer

A stupid question, does it have to fold?
If no, you can go DIY route and make one/ ask a friend to make one. You don't need any alloyed steel, some piece of steel for welding is good. Throw some slab of it and call it a trainer.

Re: SHAMAN FIXED BLADE

Balance of the knife is a tough to predict. But if you use a normal stock thickness like 3 mm it would not it be as bad. I really don't think you need more then 3 mm stock....Even more so in this case, when you don't have true FFG grind.

Great idea!!
I personally specifically in the Shaman would keep the choil as it is, but lengthen the blade as a whole a bit, so there is a tad more actual edge.
Like this?

Re: SHAMAN FIXED BLADE

My main problem is the front finger choil. In fixed blade I see that just as a wasted cutting edge (in folder I dont mind them, because they fold). I know folders users like to use choils, but with a good design you dont need it. https://i.imgur.com/G9NB7Dv.jpg Well now I dont know....this looks kin...

Re: Which Steel In you’re experience is your favorite for Spydie Edges?

Does anyone have experience with Spyderedge and 8cr13mov? I am thinking about Tenacius LW in full Spyderedge.....it could be a good low price model for me to experience what the Spyderedge is all about.

Re: St Nicks Knives Exclusive 4V Shaman - Available 9/19/19

Damm, talk about hype about a specific model and steel combo.
Gone in less a minute? Yeah. Its funny because some sprint runs or exlusive are in stock for a year and seems like noone care.

BUT, take a popular model, give it 3V, 4V, Cru-Wear + DLC + some nice scales and you have profit guaranteed.

Re: Let's take a look inside my Police 4

Some days ago I disassemble my Chief and there was some very minor corrosion on the backspacer. And that is linerless G10 and my screws are locktited..... Corrosion is a bit weird. Last year I made an experiment with my students and we had nails in different environments. The biggest surprised was a...

Re: Native Chief in CRUWEAR???

No thank you.
Chief need steel that is more towards pure edge retention such as 10V, S110V.
This is high efficiency slicer, I think it would benefit more from 10V then some tough steel.

Hey Vivi.
Did Spyderco contact you and offered you a job as a ,,rust-tester“? I think you would be a great candidate for this job. You will get a knife and you will try to rust it during summer :D

Re: Let's take a look inside my Police 4

That is some nasty rust! My Police 4 will hopefuly show up next week, so maybe I take some it apart right away and polish the liners a bit with some 500 and 1000 grit sandpaper. Maybe a even a light coat of some oil or way would help......I made some coconut-beeswax paste for wood so maybe I try tha...

Re: Where is my Bow River ?

Today morning I was on a walk with my dog and I found some mushrooms . And no, I did not pick that Amanita muscaria . https://i.imgur.com/g0cfpL3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nYWmCI1.jpg Later I did some sharpening and I get rid of that unsharpened spot. Yes, I am a madman but it really drove me crazy. T...
