Re: Looking for an improvised Yojimbo 'light.' Any suggestions?

https://i.postimg.cc/V65Gj2Fq/IMG-0317.jpg Have you considered the Jandelica or Jandura? They are Mr Janich’s custom made reprofiled versions of the Delica and Endura. The Kahr Arms Delica (above)was a model produced by Spyderco using the same profile. Sadly I missed Kahr Arms Delica at the time......

Re: Looking for an improvised Yojimbo 'light.' Any suggestions?

I love seeing all these Wharncliffes. And very interesting about the Yojimbo and Delica handle comparisons. The Yojimbo is still on my want list. The DLT exclusive in 20cv and DLC coating makes it pretty close to salt, right? You still have a lot of internals that I would not take in an extended oc...

Seemed like an easy grab with no server issues. I checked a few times after I ordered, and they were still in stock.

Re: 2024 Official Discontinued List

I don't believe a steel change (only) has ever led to a new sku, and they only get marked discontinued if the sku is. Ah, that's too bad. I was hoping the Waterway and the Siren being disco'ed (the latter from last year's list) meant they were going to be reintroduced as MagnaCut models. Could stil...

Re: 2024 Official Discontinued List

I wonder if the large number of value line & Byrd models in 8Cr13MoV being disco'ed means the possible move from 8Cr13MoV to 9Cr18MoV that Sal said they were considering several months ago is finally happening, I don't believe a steel change (only) has ever led to a new sku, and they only get m...

Re: Long-time collector: Disappointed in new Karahawks

All Japanese models have gone down in quality, especially consistency of quality, for a years now. There are many previous threads on that and other Japanese models you should be able to find for previous thoughts and some reasons why.

I’m just wondering what the knife in the middle is. It looks a lot like a Native Chief. 🤔

It's easy and cheap to replace them yourself, for what that's worth. I do it on all of mine.

Re: Bring Back Spyderench!

I voted no. I had a Spyderench and Byrdwrench and sold them both just because I don't find I need a crescent wrench enough, while standard plyers come in handy a lot. A Spyderco with plyers would go on my buy list though.

Re: Spyderco hardware origin.

Agreed about the quality of the torx screws. I genuinely enjoy my Spyderco fanboy life, but I think this is a criticism they should take note of as it is quite possibly the weakest link in their otherwise amazing product. One other link. Spyderco charges for clips, and clip screws like we tried to ...

Re: 5x5 Combat Solutions Update

I could live happily for 1000 lifetimes without the wave hooks and karambit rings, but that Delica back spacer deep carry clip is a cool idea and I might be into that for other models depending on how they turned out. Just don't get the deep carry clip version. They didn't design the clip to land o...
