Re: When is the Ikuchi going to get some CQI?
Well.. I suspect that mine needs more break in - still really hard to flip with the wheel (and that's a bit of a finger shredder still). easier to do a two hand open by using the compression lock release the blade from the handle .. Other than that.. its a keeper for the design.. There are 3 ways t...

Re: Who else wants a SE Lil'Matriarch Salt in H1 ?!
Can we all just agree that anything that's offered in SE should at least come in H1? I'd even be ok if the whole knife wasn't full on "Salt" but of course I'd be happy if it were. I’m wondering if it might actually sell better as a Salt than as a non-Salt model, since “Salt” has “utility”...

Re: Gentleman EDC / Groomsman Gift
For a small gents knife, I can think of nothing better than the Baby Horn. It's my favorite in that category. If not that, the Mantra 2 is nice and on sale. It might take more blade care than a non-knife person would want to deal with. I would go Baby Horn. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guy knows what'...

Re: Ikuchi
I've been experimenting with openings. If you use your last three fingers to press the edge of the pocket clip, and therefore the spine of the knife into your palm, you will have your thumb free to roll down the opener. Index finger just stays out of the way.

Mine just came today. I don't have any problem opening any of the four ways described here. It's a really cool knife because it's sort of a magnum gentleman's knife. I love it.

Are you guys serious about this? Is it that dangerous to go shopping where you live? YES IT IS! maybe you been living in a glass house? You never know when and where someone might choose to target you or someone near you. Better to be prepared for it was my point for bringing it up. EDC was the que...

When it comes to self defense, it's what's in you head, and in you heart.
Edit: And if you carry a knife contemplating self defense, you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not study MBC. IMHO.
